Today's will be the exact recipe ... what I call my plain CC cookie.  Lots of time I add white chips, sometimes milk chocolate chips.
Last winter, when I could find the Mint Chips, I used those.

I'm not sure I have a "favorite" chocolate recipe, because basically if it's chocolate, I will probably like it.  Although I'm a dark chocolate kind of person, I enjoy all kinds (especially in desserts) -- if I'm eating a "piece of chocolate", I prefer the dark (preferably 85-90% cocoa), but you won't find me refusing the other varieties (lol).

My favorite choclate recipe is Carnation' 1-2-3- fudge sauce in an old paperback type Cooking with Carnation Evaporated Milk cook book.  I make it for Christmas and some times for birthdays.  Mary Ann S.

Thank you Gale ... I can't wait for the mint chocolate chips to come out this year.  Nestle's has promised me that they will be offering red and green mint chips.  I'd rather have plain, dark brown, chocolate mint chips but I'll still be very grateful. ... and I'll buy and freeze enough to last a long time after the Christmas season.

Mary Ann ... please give us that fudge sauce recipe.  That's one I really need.

Hi Julie --Embarassed  I have no idea about the thumbprints ... FYI -- I'm 66 year old female, living in east Missouri with 2 miserable, spoiled, little monsters ... Peaches and Badcat. I have a little condo with a GREAT Maytag range. I keep plenty busy baking cookies for the kids at church and the great people I frequently have breakfast with.
I sure "Like" chocolate but if I'm making cookies for just me - I add way too much coconut and pecans and skip the chocolate chips.
My favorite thing is a new cookie recipe.

Today please wish me luck ... I'm taking those furry critters to their first annual vet visit.

I am still looking for my favorite Chocolate recipe.  I have lots and lots that are great but all Chocoholics know the next best one is the one you have not tried yet. But the fun is the trying of new recipes and "tweaking" the ones you have.

Chocolate/Butterscotch hong kong candy-Get your chocolate fix!
Melt one bag each of NESTLE semi-sweet choc chips and one bag butterscotch chips in a doubler broiler bowl. Mix all together until blended and chocolate is smooth. Add about 16 ounces (bag or cans) of crunchy chow mein noodles and mix into the chocolate until all noodles are coated.  Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and let set until firm (chocolate hardens). Bet you can't eat just one! You can sprinkle white or toasted coconut on top or colored sprinkles for holiday decor or the  tiny NESTLE chocolate chips add more chocolate flavor. If you add anything to the top of the candy, do this before the chocolate hardens.
PS. This recipe can easily be adapted to suit your tastes by using NESTLE white chocolate chips or mint or any combination that you like. If you are a nut lover, you can add in canned peanuts or other nuts for extra flavor and crunch. If you prefer, you can also use many different kinds of cereals instead of the chow mein noodles. (NOTE: these do not freeze well but can be stored for about 2 weeks in an airtight container.

My favorite chocolate is milk chocolate chips.  When I make fudge I add milk chocolate chips and butterscotch morsels.  Also I add some kind of chopped nuts.

My husband and I really like dark chocolate such as Dove dark chocolate squares and Bliss dark chocolate squares.  I don't think there is any "bad" chocolate.

I always add extra vanilla.  The basic recipe is good by me from the back of the package, let it cool but not all the way, good cold glass of milk or cup of tea (depending on my mood) & I'm good to go.  If I can't wait for tea to boil, Cold milk & warm, gooey cookies are my kind of treat!!!
