Eggless Cookie Dough--great with ice cream!

1/2 cup of flour; 2 1/12 tablespoons of brown sugar; 3 tablespoons of white sugar; 2 tablespoons of softened butter; 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of water.In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, white sugar, and butter until smooth. Stir in Vanilla and water. Mix in the flour until blended. Shape into a loaf or log, freeze for 1 to 2 hours. Cut into small chunks and mix into softened ice cream. Freeze for 15 minutes or until firm before serving

Hi Lili -- welcome to VBB.
Do I understand correctly that the dough is NEVER baked.... it's always used 'raw' in ice cream?

Makes sense that the dough isn't baked. When you buy cookie dough ice cream you can tell that the dough has not been baked. I guess that's why there's no egg in it

All this "talk" about eggless cookie dough and ice cream is making me hungry for Cookie Dough ice cream. Got any that I can have right now? I guess one reason the ice cream is so popular is because so many of us as kids used to drive our mothers crazy by trying to eat the cookie dough as she was trying to make the cookies.

I love cookie dough... but I never did care much for it in ice cream. A little hot fudge? SURE.... maybe even some whipped cream with chocolate sauce. I still like my cookes the best; fresh out of the oven. LOL

The "bestest" way to have cookie dough and ice cream is to bake the dough, get a dish of ice cream and put a spoon full of ice cream on the edge of the cookie and bite, chew, swallow. Repeat until ice cream is gone or cookies are gone.
Warm cookies out of the oven....with or without ice cream....

Nikki -- a great idea! I bake big batches of brownies with 3 or 4 times the amount of pecans usually included. When it's baked I crumble it, put in tiny zip-lock bags and use as an ice cream topper for a long time.

Well Frances - it doesn't last TOO long. And a diabetic friend at church always takes a little bag. She puts it on her "legal" ice cream - the only sweet she allows herself.

We wouldn't snitch the dough, but would lick the bowl, beaters and spoon. Funny we never thought of getting salmonella from eating the raw dough.
