No to Chocolate!! I can not imagine doing that!  I did let my subscription lapse and now I think that may not have been a bad thing!
Although if we can get the rest of the country to abstain from chocolate for a while that may cause prices to decline for a brief moment then we can sneak in and buy a lot at lower prices.  How does that sound?

LOL!   I am with you Nikki - I would love lower prices.  As it is, I am counting the days until they put the Easter chocolate candy on sale.

Who wants to say no to chocolate?  Hving a bit now and then is fine.  It is the overindulging that isn't good.

Valentines Day, Easter, Christmas, Halloween....all great days to go shopping  AFTER  the day for great deals on Chocolate.  I cant tell you how many bunnies, hearts, santa's and pumpkins have been made into brownies, cookies, cakes and fudge and dipped pretzels!
This year will be no exception despite the fact that I may be storing the goodies in a moving container.  May have to rethink that if the temperatures are high. Some things just might have to live in my daughter's garage for a few days.

I subscribed to GH for years, but then they changed the magazine.  I didn't like what they had done to it so don't get anymore.  I can't imagine saying no to chocolate.  Chocolate is the only kind of candy I'll eat.  I wish there would be more dark (really dark) chocolate.  I was looking at Easter candy and there's so much milk chocolate.  I didn't buy it.  I see Russell Stover has the equivalent of cadbury eggs but in chocolate with dark chocolate coating.  I bought 6.

I wish they'd get to MO.  I keep looking, but they aren't there yet.

NO to Chocolate?  I don't think so.  When I'm in the mood for chocolate, I need my fix.  And, if there's a certain one that I want, I won't be satisfied until I get that one, even another type of chocolate won't do.  So, I ended up with 2 different chocolates that day.

I have a daily serving of Trader Joe's Simply Lite Dark Chocolate with Almonds. It's low carb, has no added sugar, no trans fat and is gluten free...AND it tastes good. It's not as decadent as See's but it works for me! I can have my dark chocolate and eat it too.

Judy,  I talked to the lady who does the ordering of groceries at our Super Walmart and
I have a feeling it is going to be a while before it comes in.  She wants me to get the UPC
code so she can order it! Hopefully you get yours soon!!

When they changed the magazine that is when I let my subscription lapse.  Did not like the new format at all.  I missed the articles and stories.  I also used to like to see the makeovers that they would do, got up nerve to cut my hair when I saw one I liked.
Oh well, money saved!
Another magazine that I loved getting, and has since stopped publishing was "Chocolatier" that was a great magazine filled with great recipes.  I have every one of the magazines first to last. They will be making the move!

Carol -- oh, I wish my scanner worked ... I could scan the UPC code for you.  well, rats.
And Judy -- I'm in MO and my WalMarts have the new dark.
I'm sort of near St. Louis -- where are you?

Sounds like somebody at Good Housekeeping needs their chocolate fix so they can reason better!  LOL  I know there are probably people in this world who don't like chocolate, I just don't know any of them.  As for saving a few calories, there are easier ways to do that.

Maybe they just put that article in to attract attention?  It sure worked for that.  But I would not ever completely give up chocolate.  Especially dark chocolate. YUM!
