I never heard of one either.  If I see a recipe somewhere, I will certainly get it to you.

Ingredients [ View Metric ]

1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix
 5 Butterfinger candy bars
1 jar Caramel ice cream topping
 1 can Sweetened condensed milk
 Cool Whip
 Chocolate syrup

Preparation

Bake the cake according to package directions in a 13 x 9 inch pan. When it's done, and while it's still hot, punch holes in the cake and pour the sweetened condensed milk over the top making sure some of it sinks in the holes.

Do the same with the caramel ice cream topping. Sprinkle on some of the broken candy pieces. When it's cool, spread the Cool Whip topping on the top, and then sprinkle the rest of the broken bars. Then drizzle more caramel all over and then drizzle chocolate syrup all over in zig zags.

Hint! Put all your candy bars in the freezer. When you're ready to use them, take them from the freezer.

Leave the wrappers on and take a mallet or a hammer and smash them inside the wrappers. Keep cool

until you need them.

Enjoy!!!

I found my recipe; it is about the same as the one above but the prep. of the cake is different.  Here is mine:

1 Devils Food Cake Mix - prepare as directed on the cake box.  When you remove the cake out of the oven, poke holes in the cake with a drinking straw or chop sticks.

Combine together - 1 - 8 oz. jar of caramel topping and 1 - 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk.  Spoon over warm cake.  Sprinkle on top 1/2 of the crushed 4 Butterfinger candy bars.

Mix together 1 - 12 oz. container of whipped topping and 1 - 8 oz. Pkg. of cream cheese.  Spread mixture on top of the candy and then sprinkle the rest of the crushed butterfinger candy bars.

Refrigerate the cake uncovered for 20 minutes before serving.

Thank you!!  For years I've made a 9x13 dark chocolate cake, poked with lots of holes, dump on the caramel syrup and then the sweetened condensed milk ..... frost with cool whip or real whip cream.  Sprinkle with pecans and shaved chocolate.

Another is WHITE cake, dump on the sweetened condensed milk and then a can of creme de coco (cream of coconut).  Frost with cool whip and lots of coconut.
