Now who doesn't like brownies; so why not start a collection of Brownie recipes.  I was looking at my Cookbook 2005 and I found 12 recipes for Brownies and OH MY do they sound scrumptious.&

Now who doesn't like brownies; so why not start a collection of Brownie recipes. 

I was looking at my Cookbook 2005 and I found 12 recipes for Brownies and OH MY do they sound scrumptious.  So let's all share our recipes; join in the fun!

Here is the 12 that I will list over the next week or 2!

Gee, I wonder what my other Cookbooks have for brownies!!  Gotta check it out!!

FUDGY NUT BROWNIES

2-1/2 CUPS SEMISWEET CHOC. CHIPS
1 CUP BUTTER
1 CUP SUGAR
1/4 TEASPOON SALT
4 EGGS, LIGHTLY BEATEN
2 TEASPOONS VANILLA
3/4 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1 CUP COARSELY CHOPPED HAZELNUTS OR ALMONDS, TOASTED

TOPPING

12 SQUARES (1 OUNCE) SEMISWEET CHOC.
1 TABLESPOON SHORTENING
3 SQUARES (I OUNCE EACH) WHITE BAKING CHOC.

1.  IN A SAUCE PAN OVER LOW HEAT,MELT CHOC. CHIPS AND BUTTER; REMOVE FROM THE HEAT.  ADD SUGAR AND SALT; STIR UNTIL DISSOLVED.  COOL FOR 10 MINUTES.  STIR IN EGGS, VANILLA, FLOUR AND NUTS.  SPREAD INTO A GREASED 15-IN. X
10-IN. X 1-IN. BAKING PAN.  BAKE AT 350* FRO 25-30 MINUTES OR UNTIL A TOOTHPICK INSERTED NEAR THE CENTER COMES OUT WITH MOIST CRUMBS (DO NOT OVER BAKE).  COOL COMPLETELY ON A WIRE RACK.
2.  FOR TOPPING, IN A HEAVY SAUCEPAN OR MICROWAVE HEAT SEMISWEET CHOC. AND SHORTENING JUST UNTIL MELTED.  SPREAD OVER BROWNIES.
3.  MELT WHITE CHOC. POUR INTO A SMALL HEAVY DUTY RESEALABLE PLASTIC BAG; CUT A SMALL HOLE IN CORNER OF BAG.  PIPE THIN LINES 1 IN. APART WIDTHWISE.  BEGINNING ABOUT 1 IN. FROM A WIDE SIDE, GENTLY PULL TOOTHPICK THROUGH THE LINES TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE.  WIPE TOOTHPICK CLEAN.  THEN PULL TOOTHPICK THROUGH LINES IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION. REPEAT OVER ENTIRE TOP AT 1-IN. INTERVALS.  CUT INTO BARS.  YIELD ABOUT 2 1/2 DOZEN

By the way, I did look at my other Cookbooks and there are about 12 more recipe for brownies...all different!  I'm not going to make a promise, but I will try to post them too.

But remember, please share a recipe or 2 of your favorite brownies!!

They all sound so good.
I have tried quite a few brownie recipes and when I found the Outrageous Brownie recipe I quit searching for "THE" brownie. When I don't make that one the Raspberry Truffle Squares that I found on the King Arthur Flour web site is the recipe that is requested.
Now that has been said please print the recipe for the Almond Coconut Brownie. I may add another to my recipe book.

Susan, anything with the work "truffle" in it sounds really good.  Brownies with coconut sound good too.  Actually they  ALL soiund good.  How can we choose?

MOCHA TRUFFLE BROWNIES

1-1/4 CUPS SEMISWEET CHOC. CHIPS
1/2 CUP BUTTER
1 TSP.  INSTANT COFFEE GRANULES
2 TBL. HOT WATER
2 EGGS
3/4 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
3/4 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1/2 TSP. BAKING POWDER

FILLING:
1 TBL. INSTANT COFFEE GRANULES
1 TBL. HOT WATER
1 PACKAGE (8 OUNCES) CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
1/3 CUP CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR
1 CUP (6 OUNCES) SEMISWEET CHOC. CHIPS, MELTED

GLAZE:
1/4 CUP SEMISWEET CHOC. CHIPS
1 TSP. SHORTENING

1.  IN A HEAVY SAUCEPAN OR MICROWAVE, MELT CHIPS AND BUTTER.  STIR UNTIL SMOOTH; COOL FOR 5 MINUTES.  DISSOLVE COFFEE GRANULES IN HOT WATER; SET ASIDE.
2.  IN A MIXING BOWL, COMBINE EGGS AND BROWN SUGAR; BEAT ON MEDIUM FOR 1 MINUTE.  STIR IN CHOC. MIXTURE AND COFFEE.  COMBINE FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER; GRADUALLY ADD TO CHOC. MIXTURE.
3.  TRANSFER TO A GREASED 9-IN. SQUARE BAKING PAN.  BAKE AT 350* FOR 30-35 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK INSERTED NEAR THE CENTER COMES OUT WITH MOIST CRUMBS.  COOL COMPLETELY ON A WIRE RACK.
4.  DISSOLVE COFFEE GRANULES IN WATER; SET ASIDE.  IN A MIXING BOWL, BEAT CREAM CHEESE UNTIL SMOOTH.  BEAT IN CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR, MELTED CHOC. AND COFFEE.  SPREAD OVER BROWNIES.
5.  FOR GLAZE, MELT THE CHIPS AND SHORTENING; STIR UNTIL SMOOTH.  DRIZZLE OVER FILLING.  REFRIGERATE FOR AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE CUTTING.  YIELD:  ABOUT 6-1/2 DOZEN.

Well, I vote for getting all the great recipes but think you should take your time ......... just post one when you feel like it.   It's not like we could bake them so fast - lol

I haven't met a brownie yet that I don't like lol.  My thighs can attest to that!  Unfortunately my favorite brownie recipe is always the one in front of me at the time lol.
