In Response to Re: BROWNIE RECIPE COLLECTION:
OK, Here is my favorite brownie recipe. I have been using it for years, and everytime I make it I get raves and the brownies disappear very quickly. TURTLE BROWNIES 1 bag Kraft Caramels (14 oz) 2/3 cup Evaporated milk. divided 1 package German Chocolate Cake Mix (18 oz) 3/4 cup softened butter or margarine 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 (12 oz) package Semi sweet chocolate chips Combine caramels (unwrapped) and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in top of double boiler over hot boiling water, or in a heavy saucepan. Stir until melted Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and butter or margarine. Cut in like pie crust until dough holds together. Press 1/2 of dough into a greased 9x13" pan and bake 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips Pour caramel mixture over and spread evenly. Crumble remaining dough evenly over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 min. Cool completely, and cut into squares.
