In Response to Re: A Brownie with a little twist.:
PEPPERMINT PATTIE BROWNIES 24 small (1 1/2") York peppermint patties - unwrapped (I used 24 patties the first time I made these. The next time I used more to fill every bit of space) 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter, melted 3 cups sugar 1 Tbls vanilla 5 eggs (yes, that's five eggs) 2 cups flour 1 cup cocoa 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt Grease a 9x13x2 baking pan. Preheat oven to 350. Stir together butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Add eggs, beat until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; blend well. Reserve 2 cups batter. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan. Arrange pepperming patties about 1/2 inch apart in single layer over batter. Spread the reserved 2 cups of batter over patties. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares - about 36 brownies. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan.

Thanks Nancy!! My granddaughter wants to make brownies from scratch and this
sounds like a great one! I have a cat who sits right in front of me while I'm on the
computer and lays on my left arm. I had to change my shower liner today because
he decided to climb it and ripped it right down the middle. Cats sure are fun!!!!
