The Chocolate portion of this pie as well as the crust is great even without the cranberry topping. If you are not sure of it halve the recipe for the topping and just use a bit or spoon it over the top of a slice of the pie. You would still get the great flavor but it would be easy enough to omit if you do not like cranberries. Or use a mixture of cranberries and cherries, still a great taste but not quite as tart. The mixture of cherries and cranberries would still be a great pairing with pork or chicken so you could use the extra with a meal as well.
