I haven't the slightest idea. Flour is flour to me and works whether it is Gold Medal, Pillsbury, King Arthur or store brand. It all works! Happy New Year Verlee.

I LOVE the King Arthur Flour catalog! lol .... yest, the catalog. I've never used the flour.
But that gorgeous catalog contains things I want, things I need and things I've never even seen before.

For several years I've been looking for 8" loaf pans and only 9" are available no matter where I've looked.
The very first King Arthur catalog had them!! The ones I ordered are very, very good.

Every new catalog has wonderful things and wonderful recipes.

King Arthur is more expensive than the other brands.They do have nice recipes.:)

Their catalog is full of all kinds of temptations - specialty pans gadgets and ingredients that are not available locally.
Recipes to tempt me as well.
My problem is that me body no longer keeps up with all the things I want to try. My imagination works overtime while my accomplishments have slowed (dragged down) OOh that looks good. I used to be able to do that....
Have fun dreaming of all the gourmet goodies you can bake.

I like the King Arthur catalog. The stuff is expensive and so is the flour. I get whatever flour is on sale. King Arthur recipes are great

I always use King Arthur flour!! I don't know exactly why I prefer it but I just always have. I use King Arthur AP, bread and whole wheat flours. In my humble opinion they are the best!!

I love the recipes. the flour is more expensive than regular flour. But they have stricter standards regarding protein content in the flour. And I guess way back when... King Arthur Flour was known not to add bone meal or something like that to the flour. So bakers were assured that the flour they were getting was 100% flour.
They have a great location in New Hampshire they do classes at their site and they do have traveling information classes. If you go to their website and search for the classes you can find one in your area it is well worth going.
Sign up for their email and you will get their catalog on line. There is something nice about holding the catalog and looking over the recipes and items while sipping a cup of tea. But on line is almost as good and I am not tempted to keep another bunch of recipes that I can get with a few clicks of a keyboard.
