Hello! I just made tres leche cupcakes for the first time using a white cake mix and added cinnamon for flavoring. To make a variety, I was wondering if it could switch out the white cake mix and use chocolate or strawberry mix ( not add cinnamon ) and just mix it the way I did the original batter. Thanks!

I have never seen a Chocolate Tres Leche Cake but I bet it would be great.  I mean what's not to love about Chocolate and caramel? 
I would do it. 
As a mater of fact going through some recipes this morning I found a cake that is sort of like that.  It is called 
Triple-Chocolate Mousse Cake
1/2 Cup chocolate syrup
1 package chocolate cake mix
1 Cup water
1/3 Cup oil
7 eggs, divided
1/2 Cup sour cream
1 package, 8 ounces cream cheese
1 Can evaporated milk, 12 ounce size
4 ounces semi sweet chocolate, melted
1 Cup thawed Cool Whip
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. 
Spray a 12 Cup Bundt pan with cooking spray.
Pour chocolate syrup into pan. 
Beat cake mix, water, oil, 3 eggs with a mixer for 2 minutes or until blended.
Add sour cream; mix well. 
Pour into pan. Pour it right over the syrup. 
Beat cream cheese and sugar until blended.  
Add remaining eggs; mix well.
Blend in evaporated milk and melted chocolate. 
Gently spoon this mixture over the cake batter. 
cover with foil that has been sprayed with cooking spray. (sprayed side facing cake batter)
Place pan in a larger pan.  Add enough hot water to come at least 2 inches up the side of the Bundt pan.
Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. 
Cool completely in pan.
Refrigerate 2 hours.
Invert cake onto serving platter; remove pan. 
Serve with whipped topping. 

this is from Kraft and I am sure if you "google" the Triple-Chocolate Cake you will see a photo of it.
