Nikki,  My cat, TIPPY sends you a fur hug as he loves the sponge grass!  He even tried carrying it to his bed!

Great to hear that Tippy is loving the grass.  I started some for my kitties...found the sponge under the dining room table.  I think they were playing "hockey" with it.  Will have to start again.
May even go get one of the catnip plants that is starting to green up.  I know they will like that.

Years ago I tried growing catnip and could never get it to grow.  We had Indoor/Outdoor cats (I know, I know now only indoor!) anyway it was not until we were without cats for a while that I figured out that they ate all the catnip I planted.  I now have it growing all over the place it pops up anytime and where.  So I pick some and bring it in for the kitties.

Interesting fact that I have read.. tea made from catnip will have a calming effect on humans.

Thanks Gale .... I've bought catnip dried in pkgs. at WalMart and my sweethearts play with it for a solid 1 or 2 minutes.
I'm not going to try tomatoes this year ~sigh~ so maybe catnip.

Gale G, thank you for the info on catnip.  Will have to try it for mosquitoes.  I like to limit my DEET exposure so if the catnip works that would be great.

Well spring is finally here officially. Already had the yard cut twice and now the bushes are starting to sprout like wild. Hope the landcapers can keep up this year. I know the temps here are shooting for summer.  High 80's been going on for awhile now in middle Georgia...
