OH YES Bring on Spring!!!!
I am sick and tired of the snow and the cold.  I was sick and tired of it before this last snow storm but this was the straw that broke the camels back.   All I can say is the days are getting longer, the sun is out right now so even though the temperatures are in the single digits there is a bit of warmth.  And the snow will start to melt.  That will bring on a host of problems in the next few weeks.
Couldn't resist using "springy" colors for this!
I just wish the yellow would show up a bit better!  Needed to get in all the flowery colors.

I'm ready for spring but I accept the fact that spring isn't ready for me  Laughing
Snow predicted for tonight and tomorrow ..... yikes.  I just have to get to church to clean
tomorrow morning.  This has been a problem for a month - I've made it but been very frightened.

We have had unusually nice weather on the "left coast" the past few days, and it is supposed to last through the weekend.  The problem is that the plants (think bulbs) think it is Spring already and are starting to come up.  If we have another cold spell they will be totally confused!

I hope spring gets here soon but with all the snow if it gets warm too fast we may all be wading.  Not a pleasant thought especially for basements.  Yes, the sun is shining so at least it isn't gloomy.  The paperwhites I planted a few weeks ago are really growing.  Pretty soon they will bloom and at least brighten a corner of the family room.  Hopefully we'll all see signs of spring very soon.

I planted some bulbs in pots today because there is so much snow...depressing but the bulbs with be a nice addition to the windows if that darn cat leaves them alone...LOL
My lilies are up to about a foot tall and I caught my cat Tippy trying to get to them.  Boy did I yell at him.  He doesn't need kidney failure eating the leaves of the lilies.  I covered them in landscaper fabric.  It's very light but Tippy can't get to them.

Here in southeast AR we seem to have winter one day and spring the next.  One never knows what to expect.

Do you get landscaper fabric at Home Depot? Any garden shop like Walmart? I need to try indoor plants and Lighting aka TM or the Brat would definitely get into them, lol........ I see snow for Thursday but hope not since have to drive almost 2 hours to Salem Va on that day. Hi to everyone and hope all is well. (((((hugs)))))Cool

Elsa, try this for your kitties.  Take a new kitchen sponge and wet it down.  Place it is a dish that will hold it or even a deli container.  Sprinkle grass seed on it.  The seed should sprout in a few days and the kitties can nibble on that.

Nikki, Thank you for your suggestion for the kitty grass.  I bought some grass at our local grocery store only to  have it mold.  I definitely will try the sponge.  I tried it a second time and my dogs ate it and wouldn't let the cat near it!

I am sooo ready for Spring.  Winter is my least favorite time of the year.  The only things I like about it are the holidays and that the colder weather kills off some of the bugs.

I am very anxious for Spring. Have not ventured out in this weather. Am a little afraid to.  Last February I went to get the newspaper and on the way back, up the driveway, close to the garage door, I slipped on a patch of black ice and fractured my wrist.  Then in June I had one knee replacement and in November the other knee.  Am getting around in the house with a cane right now.  Am a little afraid to go out  in the ice and snow with the cane.  CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell that I am ready for Spring???
