I use parchment paper for every batch of cookies I make.  I absolutely love the stuff.  It lets me make batch after batch of different flavor cookies without washing the metal sheet.

Reynolds brand has a $1.00 coupon INSIDE the box for the purchase of your next two boxes.

Parchment paper is great for making cones that you can use to pipe frosting through or egg yolk mixture for deviled eggs.

Gale -- thanks.  I never thought about using the parchment for things like frosting or deviled eggs.
I wish other people would post other uses too.

Do you just lay the paper on the cookie sheet and then put the cookie batch on it and bake the normal time?  I have never used parchment paper and do not know how to use it.  Any help would be appreciated.

Elsie - Just cut the parchment paper to fit* your cookie sheet then drop on the cookie dough.  Ignore any recipe directions to grease or don't grease the sheet.   You can use the paper over and over ... it saves so much work and mess.

*I cut the paper to fit my cookie sheets one roll at a time.... I want it ready to go at the right size.

I just picked up a big rollof parchment paper from Costco today in store manufacturers discount got he roll for under $7.00 it is 15 inches by 164 feet, should last a while.
I have found that the parchment paper makes clean up so fast and easy. Don't have to worry about getting a cake out of a pan and lifting fudge out is a breeze.

I found parchment paper is so great for sticky things like macaroons and divinity.  It makes for really easy removal and less broken pieces.  More cookies on the plate and less in my tummy LOL!

You can also make a funnel out of the parchment paper to use in a pinch, just roll into a cone and cut the bottom to make as large as needed.
