Wish I could help, but I have never used lemon curd.  I'm sure some of the ladies have recipes that might be of help.  In the meantime, have you tried typing lemon curd into the search box at the top of the page?  If there are any recipes, it should bring them up.  Good luck msgracie.

I just had a sample of Raspberry Shortcake at Trader Joe's. They added lemon curd to the whipped cream, and it was the best part of the sample!

A simple tart shell or pie crust.  Add the lemon Curd as is or fold it into whipped cream.  If you pour it in plain top with whipped cream.
Thaw Puff Pastry Roll it out then add Lemon Curd to the center of the puff pastry and top with a second and bake as directed for a filled pastry on the package. Or Bake it plain and top with lemon curd on top of the baked pastry.  Remember to dock the crust first if it is baked alone.
A Trifle. Layer with pound cake, lemon curd and whipped cream.
Top a baked or no bake cheesecake with the curd.

Mary, Lemon Curd is like the filling for a Lemon Meringue Pie.  A bit sweet for a chicken recipe.  It is good on scones as well as the ideas I listed above.
