Happy New Year to all of the VBB!  I am curious, are any of you having trouble getting stores to take Internet printed coupons?  We live in rural NW Wisconsin and there is not a store w/in 9

Internet coupons?

Happy New Year to all of the VBB! I am curious, are any of you having trouble getting stores to take Internet printed coupons? We live in rural NW Wisconsin and there is not a store w/in 90 miles of us that will take ANY coupons printed off of the Internet. Are any of you folks having the same problem? Thanks, Lis

In Response to Internet coupons?: I have noticed that the local store here in town has now posted that there are alot of fraudulent internet coupons and they will no long accept them. The store did however list the sights that were fraudulent. The local television station posts coupons from coupon bug.com and they don't seem to have a problem with those

I live in southern Ohio and every store here with the exception of Dollar General takes them. We have no problem with any stores, in fact they act like they don't understand why you're asking if they accept them.

Here, in a small town, rural area I have no problem having my Internet coupons accepted. Even WalMart takes them without a blink.

I have never had a problem with an internet coupon. I only print from manufacturer or specific store sites, so maybe that makes a difference?

I haven't had any problems here in MA. The stores sometimes double or triple them unless otherwise stated-I guess that we are lucky the store think of us poor souls!

I live in Valdosta, Ga and the only grocery store that takes internet coupons is Publix. Walgreens also accepts internet coupons. Other than that these are the only stores in our area which take them.

When I went to redeem a coupon printed off of the Disney site at WalMart the cashier stated that they have been trained to check for a certain background or a yellow box in the expiration date. She suggested to always to print coupons on a color printer, fewer problems having your coupons accepted.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona and always use internet coupons. I use coupons.com and red plum. I have only experienced a problem one time when the cashier scanned the coupon it would not recognize the bar code. Another cashier stepped in and said you have to over one of the UPC codes. Some of the coupons come with two UPC codes. Covering one UPC allows the scanner to recognize the coupon. Also, printing the coupon in color as the other folks suggested. I learned that from Walmart. Good luck and I hope your grocery store soon accepts the internet coupons.

No problems in Ohio both stores where I shop take them.They limit the amount of up to $5 and only one free item.

i shop at walmart and they wouldn't take internet coupons so i called there main office and was told if the coupon has the address of say dawn . they would take them.then have them call your store i only down load coupons with there address on them. call your stores main office. and ask if the address is on the coupons will they take them ?hope this helps

I have trouble downloading the coupons and don't find very many that I can use as I don't use coupons if I don't buy the product.

Hi LISA ; Yes, we have the same problem here;The store I do most of my shopping in refuses to take internet coupons..They even rudely question
me about mfr. coupons that appear (to the)m to be printed at home(Progresso, Weight Watchers & Starkist) I've delayed those on the line behinde atc heckout to insist the mgr. becalled to arbitrate; The mgr. has always backed me up; apologized to me & those in line behind me; telling the cashier how to verify that it is a ligit mfr coupon. Hubby told me last week that he has seen other customers, w/what appeared, to him o be internet coupons & had them accepte w/o trouble or delayI. I've called the toll free # for the mfr & informed them of this problem.They tell me that stores decide for themselves about accepting anycoupons and have often sent me mf.r printed coupns to use on their products. Other times, they tell me that their coupons are in the Sunday newspaper. I tel them that we do not buy the Sunday paper; too hard to dispose of/ recyle properly & requires a speciall trip to the store to obtain.I am disabled & would need to take a bus [$2 each way] that makesita$6 investment to get the paper.... On holidayweekends, there are no coupons in the paper. I've found that out the hard way.I have repeatedly told the store mgr. that (ifmybusinessisnot important enough to the store) I will gladly shop atTarget/Walmart ; where both gladly accept computer coupons( often have lower prices too.

If enough of us take action,make phone calls & talk to the store mgr. this will have to stop being a problem for us.The stores want & need our business;get paid a few cents extra on each, to accept coupons. Tell the store mgr. ( not the cashier) that you wlil do your shopping at Target or Walmart who willingly take these coupons. Of course if these stores are really far away from your home; the threat of that will not hold much power. Try to organze a group of friends, coworkers & neighbors w/ all those coupons & shop where your coupons will be accpted.This ( carpooling) will cut down on your costs to use internet coupons & stores might/should/will

notice 10 or 20 less customers on a regular basis

I just had a problem with one of the stores I go to not taking an internet coupon. After going to the service desk and they still refused to take it, I just gave the product back and asked for a refund. Since it was deli cheese it is now their problem of what to do with it. If enough of us protest maybe the stores will get the idea! One of my other stores has some limits on which internet coupons they will accept but I haven't had any problems with that.

In my area (Chicago South Suburb's) most stores have it posted on the incoming doors that they don't accept internet coupons. You would think with the new technology of a computer that they would honor coupons that are printed from the home computer. It would save the manufacturer the cost of putting them into the papers, magazines or even worse "The Mail". It's even expensive to mail a first class letter these days but they still prefer to mail coupons. While cleaning out a desk drawer I found a book of 34 cent stamps. I left them on top the desk and my grandson thought they were part of a game because stamps are 45 cents. I can remember when my mother was mailing Christmas cards out and she was complaining about the stamps costing 3 cents each. Wow must have been nice. The coupons were also good for almost a year instead of a couple of months. Okay I will now step off my soap box!

We belong to Disney Movie Rewards. Yesterday I tried to use some internet email DVD coupons I downloaded. Walmart refused to honor them saying people are copying coupons and counterfiting them too. THis didn't help me as mine were legitimate - very frustrating.

I live in a large city and Walmart is the only store I have trouble using internet coupons. Some of the workers don't know enough about coupons to honor them.
