HI Dee ..... Look at the upper left of this page and click on "Recipes".  Then click on "Holidays" and you can click on the special day you want such as Thanksgiving or Christmas and so on.   When you get the huge list of recipes you can click on "Easy" and you'll get a fantastic list that includes main dishes, desserts, side dishes and so on.  It's a great selection.

First...Welcome back Nancy!!!!

Second .....Dee, keep it simple.
If you do not do a lot of cooking make what you do cook the best but keep it easy for you.
So not try to a new recipe for a big family get together.
There is nothing wrong about asking family to "contribute" a favorite item of theirs.  Bring a family favorite and a recipe along with the dish.  By the end of the day you will have a full table and can compile a recipe book for everyone to take home.

Turkey is nothing but a Huge chicken so don't over think it.
Ham is easy, it is already cooked and just needs to be heated up.
We all complain that we eat too much anyway.

This site has lots of great recipes to try.  Just do a search for holiday recipes but don't just focus on holiday if you want a recipe for a Chocolate Pie just search for Chocolate Pie.

If we can help out any more let us know.

There are so many websites besides VBB and also TV stations that run holiday foods that you can see visually as well as then get their recipes. The wonderful VBB people can also help. As Maryann stated the recipes will be coming shortly.

Thank you everyone!

I will look for easy holiday recipes.  I have a crockpot, an oven, a few baking utensils, stove, and a microwave.  I have a very picky eater of a boyfriend, so I try to get a little of everything.  I would love to do an easy turkey for Thanksgiving and a ham for Christmas. :)

Dee, a year ago I had a full oven and I had to do a ham. I had one of the spiral sliced hams I pulled out my crock pot and put the ham in cut side down and added a bit of the glaze but not all of it.  Turned the crock pot on low and let it go for a few hours, turned the ham over and took slices off the ham.
It was tender, not over cooked and moist.
I don't think I will do ham any other way from now on.  This was so easy and I was able to keep using the oven for other items.
