HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM

my electric ice cream mixer calls for 3 cups heavy whipping cream and with it being nearly $4 for one carton i am looking for homemade whipping cream recipes. i did a search online and found several but they all called for butter to be added. not sure how the butter would taste. i did mix up some and have it in the frige-it said to chill fo no less than 24 hrs before using. so will try it in vanilla. any other ideas i can try?

If you have a whole sale store (i.e. Costcos) the whipping cream for a quart is about 3.50 over here

There are recipes that call for sweetened condensed milk, but the whipping cream ones are the best.

I used to have a little "gadget" that you could make cream with.  It required heating milk and butter and forcing it through this gadget.  It sort of forced the butter and milk into an emulsion I guess you would call it.  It worked very well but I did not use it often. (I will try to find the name of this thing and let you know)
I usually get cream at Costco or Sam's if I need a lot or I get it at Aldi's if I only need a small carton.

If your butter and milk mixture works please let me know the process I will have to keep it in mind for the few times that I come across a recipe I want to make and can not get to the store.

  I mde my mashed potatoes with heavy whipping cream and they are very good.
