Welcome to the delight of becoming gluten free! I have taken my whole family gluten free for nearly 4 years, now.
First of all, yes most of these products - the semi-sweet chocolate morsels especially - have been identified as gluten free.
There are many many sites online that offer gluten-free eating and cooking advice, suggestions and recipes.
This one specifically answers your first question: http://www.msceliacsays.com/2010/05/nestle-tons-of-gluten-free-options.html

For a start with a good chocolate chip cookie recipe, although it suggests using a blend of gluten free flours (which can get very expensive to assemble), this is one I have tried with great success using Bob's Red Mill's All-Purpose Gluten Free Flour Blend:

Enjoy!

i really must point out that the person      allean          who has         not been on this site before and may be  SPAMMING      you          be very careful if you decide to go to those sites before VBB removes them        because they will remove them

if you go to the search box above right   and type 'gluten free'            ypu will get some help from VBB

Hi Nellie,
So sorry you are so sour.  I have been a member of this site for a couple of years.  This is the first time I took the time to respond to a subject with which I am VERY familiar.  I am sharing sites where I had received the same information as requested, in my research over the years.   I was a newbie to gluten-free cooking 4 years ago, like Linda.  The recipe I suggested was the best of the many I have actually tested myself.  Tongue OutHow is that SPAMMING??? Thought we respond to help.

Allean - I agree with Nellie.   It's spam to advertise your web site.

I am sure there was no intent to insult you.  "We" have had quite a few people posting spam recently and one or two of the members have had problems as a result.
Particularly because you have not posted previously it was just a word of caution.
I am sure we will get to know you and enjoy future posts. I also caution you to be careful when clicking on links that are posted here or anywhere else.
