My "foodie" sisters both recently recommended to me The Flavor Bible, cooking creativity book. I finally bought a copy and have spent 2 hours just flipping through it. Mainly it has an alpha listing of every spice, ingredient and type of cooking that you can imagine, and suggests what you can do with that food, depending on the season of the year and what mood you want to create. Can't wait to try some of its suggestions and pairings. How many of you have been using this "Bible" already, in your cooking adventures?

Wow - Verlee, I've never even heard of a Flavor Bible ........ now I gotta' go to Amazon and look at it.
Since I don't cook all that much, except cookies and candy, I sure wish there were a Cookie Bible ..... a BIG Cookie Bible.

Thanks for posting that info.  I'll be checking into it.....sounds like a challenge; but it may well be worth the effort.  Perhaps we will all learn a good lesson or two about cooking, etc.  Thanks again, Verlee!
