That depends on the type of pie.
(I do hope you meant to say extract)
I like cherry with an almond extract.
Chocolate, vanilla goes well, or almond if you want that flavor. If it is a chocolate peanut butter I use vanilla.
Lemon, lime I use extra zest and or a bit of lime or lemon oil.
Most berry pies will do well with vanilla
Pumpkin or sweet potato I use vanilla.
Here is a pie that will win hands down for you and it is an easy one if you use a pre made crust. Use either a graham cracker crust or a pastry crust and pre bake it. (I think it makes the crust taste better if you are using the graham cracker crust.)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.
Pre baked pie crust. Use a 10 inch deep dish pie pan. If you use a smaller size your pie will be that much fuller.
Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
3/4 Cup granulated sugar
1/2 Cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1 Cup creamy peanut butter
1 Cup heavy whipping cream
Beat cream cheese in bowl of electric mixer until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the granulated and brown sugars, vanilla and salt and beat until smooth, about 5 minutes, scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times during mixing. Add the peanut butter and continue beating until peanut butter is incorporated, 1 to 2 minutes more. Set aside. In another bowl, whip cream to the soft peak stage and then fold into the cream cheese mixture.
Pour into cooled, prepared crust and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
Ganache:
3 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips or finely chopped chocolate.
1/2 Cup heavy whipping cream
Place chocolate in a small heat proof bowl.
Heat cream in a small saucepan just until it comes to a boil.
Pour cream over chocolate. Let rest for 2 to 3 minutes, or until chocolate melts. Stir until smooth. Set aside to cool.
The chocolate should be warm enough to pour but not hot enough to melt the pie filling.
Pour the ganache onto the pie; either spread the chocolate with a spatula or rotate the pie in your hand allowing the chocolate to flow over the top of the pie.
Refrigerate until ganache is set.

I have made this with a pastry crust and it is very good. I have done it with a graham cracker crust again very good. I have also made a crust with nuts in it and used that. There is no way that this pie can turn out anyway but great!!

it was postponed i was wondering do you bake the bottom crust first and then put the filling and top crust on? and i decided to make a cherry/cranberry pie i thought it would be a nice twist on a classic.

Livi, when I have made this using a pastry crust the crust has to be baked, If you use a graham cracker crust I personally like to bake them. I think it brings out more flavor and I think the crust holds up better. The crumb crust does not take long to bake, about 8 to 10 minutes.

Try making this with pretzels that have been crushed up or for a real treat use chocolate chip cookies. (Omit the sugar called for in the crumb crust.)

If you want to try a real good cranberry pie I found one on All Recipes for a Cranberry Streusel Pie that is so good. I have made it several times and most people guess that it is a cherry pie.
