Has anyone made donuts? I would love to make some from the oven as oppose to fried. Not that I wont do fried but rather bake. Any suggestions?

I made fried donuts once.  I was a kid.  Worse burn I have ever had...I have a healthy respect for hot grease!
I have not tried the baked donuts I am pretty sure I have seen a recipe for them at http://www.kingarthurflour.com just search recipes and look for the donuts. I will check and see if they have them and give the title of the recipe.

They do have a recipe for baked donuts.  It does need a donut pan. (probably why I have never made baked donuts) It is Baked Donuts Three Ways.

Anything that needs special equipment for me to bake with, I most likely will not do! LOL
