After a squirt of that commercial cleaner I clean my glass top range with a single-edge razor blade. It quickly scrapes anything off and I can wipe down with a damp paper towel.

I also use the single edge razor, great for the baked on stuff. The baking soda and the razor are both on hand. If the baking soda doesn't work the razor does.
Vinegar is also a great cleaner. Funny thing I was at the store the other day looking for a floor cleaner. The house I am now in has laminate floors and I wanted to see what was on the market. I found a cleaner that has a vinegar base. $5.00+ for a bottle, I thought this is nuts I have a gallon of vinegar that I don't think cost more than $2.00 why would I buy the 16 ounce bottle when I have a gallon of vinegar at home. Plus I don't have to worry about the cats or dogs and the chemicals. Good old fashioned cleaners are making a comeback.
