I've been making Whoopie Pies and trying to perfect the recipes.  I'll have to add the Peanut Butter Whoopie recipe.  It was soo good.

Please - can someone tell me if whoopie pies are freez-able?  Can I make those things and stick them in the freezer?

I have quite a few in the freezer and they thaw pretty quickly and taste great.
It may depend on the filling that you use but most of the recipes for filling I have seen should freeze well.  I probably would not freeze a cream cheese filling.  I have never tried to freeze a cream cheese frosting/filling if anyone has and reports that the texture does not suffer then that should be fine as well.

Right now I'm planning on using the Land 'o Lakes recipe.  It's filling is butter and powdered sugar with a bit of caramel sauce.

I looked up cheese filled pastries and they can be frozen 2-3 months wrapped in freezer bags.Nothing I bake ever makes it to the freezer. These guys eat up everything.I never can get an early start on holiday baking for the same reason.

How on earth can you afford all the paper and ink?
I think I'm using so much $$$ on that stuff that I can't afford the ingredients!
