The strongest thing that I drink is regular coffee (as opposed to my usual decaf). Our neighbors call us boring, but we enjoy life and think about all the money we don't spend on alcohol.

We don't drink but I like Coke 0 every now and then.  We don't have to drink alcohol to have a good time.

We don't drink on a regular basis. Once in a blue moon I will have a marguerita and hubby will have a beer.  It has to be a very special occasion!!

not a regular thing for me either   i keep beer for when my son comes  and i usually drink one with him
i have margarita mix and tequilla and rim salt for an occasional margarita (not frozen, because i get brain freeze quickly)) with my cleaning lady
when i go to the casino (rarely) i love their bloody mary's and they are free, but i have to drive home usually, and a second one means i have to go to bed soon                i quickly learned that the virgin one tastes just as good (to me, anyway)   so that's what i drink there now

We don't drink at all....except for Gingerale (wow).  However, at a "Happy Hour" (in our condo area), someone had Lemoncello.  I had heard that it was very good, so I said I would taste a sip.  How can anyone drink that stuff??!!  It was AWFUL!!  OK....back to my Gingerale!!

Since "quitting" diet coke about 11 years ago I drink a carbonated beverage maybe once a month.  Water is my beverage of choice. Or an Iced Tea, half sweet and I use real sugar.
For the "poison" I like an ice cold Margarita or an Amaretto on the rocks.
I have purchased Lemoncello recently and I have used it in several recipes and it is good over ice.  I think it is a bit strong and I may mix it with some sparkling water to reduce the alcohol content in a drink and I think it would be more refreshing.
Not much of a drinker but do enjoy it once in a while.  Not fond of the after effects of "a bit too much".

Gale, I just watched a show and they made Lemoncello.  Very easy to do but it took a while for it to be ready.  Sounded like each family has their own recipe for lemoncello.

Since I am always the "designated driver" when we go out, I never drink.  Now I get no argument when I say I'm driving since I refuse to get in a car with someone who has been drinking no matter how small an amount.  Better safe than sorry.

Although I used to drink mixed drinks and wine when I was younger, it's very rare that I even have a glass of wine now.  Occasionally I will have about half a can of beer.  But water is better for me lol.

Sorry, never tried the lime or lemoncello.  Sounds very strong though.

Hi GALE G;
 GRANA here;
 I was never much of a drinker & now am not allowedto drink more than a sip of wine( due to medications & health isues.When I could drink,I liked  mai tais,  a brandy  Alexander, compari & soda, whiteor redine (Sebastiani 1968 propritor's  reserve  merlot wine either at  social gatheringgs& formal functions. For every day , Iliked 7UP;  root beer, orange crush but can no longer handle  bubbles except for asti spumonte champagne or  Rose Mateus[NewYear's Eve]tiny sips only);
 Now I drink hot tea or water; noice w/ lemon or lime  squeezed into it.  Since I never drank to get tipsy; I don't miss it ; other than the flavor of a really good red or white wine w/ a "special"meal.
Mydr  allowed a sip"JUST A SIP" ofwine on our 45thanniversry.The server suggested a lovely chardonayv.Huby&I shared a glass& therestaurant "comped" us  thewine ine, even though they had to open a new bottle foroursingleglass; whichhubby was wilingo pay the $7 forKiss
l have become a connoseur(sp) of water &  have learned which states, cities& towns have tastey water, and more imporantly , which  do not:Widdbey Island, Wahington(not) & Philadelphia, Pa.(not); Merrimack,NH ( good)
Way off the subject; I still do enjoy a small sip of whatever at dinners w/ others & rarely find a drinkI want more( than sip) ofWink ; fortunately for me.

My cousin was telling me how she made the lemon and limecello.She zested the fruit (Not sure Zested is a wordEmbarassed? She added sugar and the vodka it was hard to concentrate with all the people laughing and playing corn hole SmileShe said it took a few months and it is stored in the freezer.I don't drink often due to medications.I really did like the limecello.I think that stuff would be great for a cold WOW STRONG ! But I did like it she gave me a shot and I sipped on it for quite a while.It might be good that we only see each other once in awhile.LaughingI might get used to that stuff.I'll call her and ask her exactly how she made it if you are interested I'll post the recipe.

Lemoncello is made from the zest of lemons, lots and lots of lemons, a sugar syrup and vodka is added.  I think the show I saw it was about 1 liter of sugar syrup and 1 liter of vodka. Then it has to "rest" for quite a while so the lemon flavor is drawn out of the lemon zest.  When they zested the lemons a vegetable peeler was used to get wide strips so they could be filtered out later.
I am not a fan of it just as a drink but I have used it in several recipes. It is a bit strong for me but like I mentioned I think I will try it with some carbonated water to see if I like it more.
