We like greek but chinese comes in second and what is funny is my back ground is Dutch

Mary L, My parents were Dutch and my hubby's were German. We live in San Diego county, 20 miles
from downtown San Diego. There are a lot of Mexican Rest. out here. We also have an awesome
Chinese Rest about 4 miles from us. We also have a lot of Greek Rest. It is nice to meet someone
else on this site who has a dutch background. I was born and lived in the Zeeland and Holland area
in the state of Michigan. I lived there for 45 years before moving to CA.

I love the homemade pierogis that my great aunt made, the homemade chicken noodle soup that my mom made, the homemade bread/rolls that my grandma used to make and the hot cross buns that my aunt makes.

I would have to say Mexican food is definitely up there. Depending on which variation of Mexican foods one tries, it goes anywhere from spicey to mild. For me though, the spicier the better!

I come from a german/swedish background, and that is the kind of food I grew up on. I love all eastern european food and am a big fan of indian/asian/himalayan food.

I like all types it depends on what I have a craving for at the moment.
Years ago I wanted to try all different types and I tried to get my husband to try foods from different ethnic regions starting with A and working through to Z. Unfortunately he is not as adventurous as I am. To him Mexican is Taco, Italian is Pizza or pasta.

i dont eat raw fish or squid i like pasta and i make it a lot we use dream fields pasta as we can't eat all the carbs in reg .diabetes had messed up my life as to eating i behave but its hard
