For lunch I plan to have a turkey sandwich and for dinner - turkey, gravy, dressing, potat .... yada yada

Your dinner sounds great especially the "yada yada" and I am guessing with you it is a bowl of ice cream!

LOL LOL LOL --- nope, Nikki ..... I don't even own any ice cream.  Remember- I'm dieting??  I haven't had a bite of ice cream since I started this journey.  I keep baking cookies and making candy but I don't eat them.  I taste every batch I make, but that's it.
I've slowly lost right at 20 lbs and I will keep going - slow but sure.
Yesterday was Christmas and my gift to myself was TWO cookies -- one in the morning and one after dinner.

Yeah !!!  20 pounds you lost and I know who found them!
Every day should start with a cookie isn't that what makes it a Good Morning?.

Nikki -- I need to lose SO much weight that the -20 lbs don't show ........ I don't look 20 ounces lighter. Frown
Reminds me -- a dear, young woman at church was talking to another woman about dieting.  She said she was disappointed that she had lost 50+ lb and no one had even noticed.  I asked her about losing weight and she said she eats what she wants except sweets.

Dinner tonight will be turkey soup ...... I can't wait - maybe that will be lunch.

I have "struggled" with the last 10 pounds that I want to loose so much so that it has grown to 20 pounds.
So I usually tell people that I need to loose 20 pounds, I would be happy with 10 pounds and the other 10 is my "Fudge" factor...because I love fudge!
It has been more difficult to exercize, if I get on the treadmill and I hear my husband try to get up or if he does get up I have to stop to see what he is getting into.  I really can't do anything after he goes to bed because I don't want to wake him once he falls asleep, I can'e do it in the morning before I get him up because I don't want him to wake and try to get out of bed.  Oh I can think of 1000 more excuses if you give me a moment.  I just have to be more diligent about what I eat, when I eat and exercise more.  I guess that, along with a million other people will be my resolution.  Even if I can do a bit more than I am doing now that will be better than nothing.

I did just see an item in the news where you can make money loosing weight.  You bet on yourself, put in how much you want to loose and in what time frame and they will tell you how much you have to bet.  I think you even put in how much you want to make or they will tell you how much you will make.  A little incentive! If I can track down the info I will add it to this post.

Well -- there went my plan for turkey soup.
I was out doing some errands and my little truck automatically went to the Chinese restaurant.  I ate so much I probably won't even want dinner.

We didn't have dinner because we had such a huge, late lunch.  We went to a restaurant that we used to take our children to every day after Thanksgiving.  Boy, walking in brought back a flood of memories.  The food was very good and of course I couldn't leave without dessert!  We took a long walk after our meal but none of us wanted any more food for the rest of the day.

Nellie - I hope that it will feel good to get back on your exercise bike again.  Just remember to take it easy.  Hope you're doing better soon.

Well we just finished another Chinese Leftover Dinner.  I still have fried rice in the refrigerator and that will be dinner tomorrow. It will be enough for the 2 of us.  So for my Christmas order I fed 3 people Wednesday night.  2 for Dinner on Friday and 2 for dinner on Saturday and have enough for one meal for 2 people tomorrow.  As I figure it that was 9 meals for $40.00 for a total of $4.44 per meal and that included tax, TIP and delivery charge.  Not bad at all........

No dinner for me tonight since I took Mom to the buffet for lunch.  Good thing I don't go there too often because I always try to taste too many things and end up feeling full for a couple of days lol.  Maybe next time I'll just stick to tasting the desserts lol.

Last night we had our "family holiday party".  Usually we have it before Christmas, but this year our daughter couldn't come up until the day after Christmas, so we had it last night.  We had the party at my son's family home.  M y daughter in law really had things organized.  The theme was Italian food, so everyone brought a dish in that theme.  I brought stuffed shells. We also had lasagna, home made pasta with pesto, Caesar salad, roasted vegetables, and Sour dough garlic bread.  For dessert we had Tiramisu, and assorted cookies.  YUM!!!

Nikki - Wow - is that ever economical!  We have a family tradition of going out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve - it gives all of us a time to slow down amid all of the "holiday hubbub"  and get together after church to share a meal.  Needless to say we didn't even begin to eat for $40.00.  My hat is off to you!
