Yesterday evening I made some great turkey stock.  I'll save part of it for Christmas dinner, but I want to use some of it for turkey soup.
But yesterday I bought a great pile of beef soup bones.... I need to make some stock from that.

GRANA here;
 In between medical appts we took a break for  lunch out.A newer Mexican restaurant got  bad reviews for  food  & good reviews  for service Hubby  gambled & we WON; GREAT SERVICE &  excellent food.FREE salsa& chips wereu salted and came w/an extra bottle of salsa for refiling the bowl of salsa as needed.

NOON: He had a grilled led beef taco  salad ;I had a veraruz platter( grilled shrimp & veggiesl Spanish rice****refried  beans, hot tortillas for wrapping up ingredients of my choice.
,  .Hubby ordered a flan( traditional Mexican baked custard w/  a brown sugar glaze; plenty big enough or two. *****black  beans cooked w/ onions & tomatoes was allowed as a no charge substitute  for the refried beans
 Hubby had a grilled beef taco salad( a large crispy  tortilla bowl filled salad ingredients, grilled steak or chicken optional beans( refried or  stewed black)   traditional Mexican street musician music (Mariachiplayyed softly in  the background.The hos t & waiter kindly tolerated  my poor attemps at  basic Spanish( por favor/please /muey bueno/ very good ; uno flan por favor/ one flan please; gracias /thank you, hola &  adios/ hello& goodbye Embarassed
The décor sembled our fave place to eat in Tijuana : bullfight scenes& wroughtiron w/ ceramic  & earthenware art.There were 12 LUNCH SPECIALS(regional) to choose from , some complete w/ guacamole salad, all w/ rice&  choice of beans. Food arrived promptly )less than 15 minutes  w/ choice of heat level/made to order )Lunch frtor two including a beer& a dessert lessthan$30 +
tax & tip...Hubby who is picky & frugal is already  talking about  going there again for  other lunch specials  & flan.Sometimes it's gd to try a new place making your own decision as to quality of food& service;..It ws such a pleasant experience, well worth being fruga at gthe gocery store for e a few weeks to be able to afford it.Money mouth
DINNER:
 he: rice Krispies & milk w./ banana slices
me: oatmeal w/ apple dice& raisins
 hot cocoa

Been involved in the church Christmas presentation of "The Gift" for the past few nights and will continue through Sunday.  Dinners this week have been on the fly.  Think we'll go out for an early dinner.  I'm leading an angel choir as we sign several of the songs that the choir sings.  I'm one of those folks who talk with their hands!

Been busy the past three nights with the church Christmas program.  We have three more nights of performances.  Until then, dinner will be on the fly, so to speak.  This afternoon late, we'll go out for a good meal.

Nellie -- I hope you know how many of us will be thinking and praying for you - and the positive results of that procedure.   We want you to take it easy and get lots of rest but we hope you'll get back on here as soon as possible to let us know how you're doing.
