Last night (Friday) I had just had a colonoscopy, so I told my husband he had to cook!!  He went to Trader Joe's and brought home a meatloaf. ( he did say mine was better).  Anyway we added a baked potato, and green beans.
While at Trader Joe's I told him to pick up their frozen chocolate croissants.  He did and we let them rise overnight.  I baked them this morning to have for breakfast.  YUM!!!

I ordered some Chinese food. No time to cook tonight.   I had a friend over to help with some work on the second bathroom.  Had to put up grab bars and we changed the sink from one that just hung on the wall to one with a vanity.  Much safer for my husband, this way when he leans on the sink I won't worry that it will be pulled off the wall.  Good thing I did this, I found out that the builder or who ever put the dink in to begin with hung it off drywall not into studs!

 there's a lot of that going on in construction       especially since they started using "subcontractors"   instead of regular experienced builders  sometime in the 90's here in texas

Ah, Nellie,  I'm so sorry you fell.   Keeping your leg elevated is not going to be easy --- I wish I lived nearer so I could come help.
I know you have a "cleaning lady" who is super nice.  Will she be able to give you more assistance?  I hope so.

thanks, nancy
before that I had already given up the idea of baking this year altogether
and not hosting my Christmas eve party  (after 20 yrs)
I had that ct scan last month and the dr's offices have been in slow mode to everything
finally last wed I found out I have 7 bulging spots in my dorsal and lumbar spine
some of them for more than 40 yrs
no surgery  (would require fusing)            but I've been fighting a pain clinic until I finally was able to discuss it face to face w/ my dr and he explained that I had to go thru them to get to other solutions       (insurance/ medicare)
my first apt there  will be 12/05

Tonight we made tacos and some nachos - quite a tasty meal, but I'm afraid to think of how many calories I consumed!  I tried to console myself that at least I was eating a lot of lettuce and tomatoes!

Ok I need help! I just found out about brownie points. Ugh, can I be any-more behind? I want to know what do we use them for because the information that I got on them didn't say. So can anyone answer my question?

Hi Liana -- welcome to VBB. Most of us have fun sharing recipes and that's about it.   I've been a member since early 2009 and the brownie points have never been used in any way.  Two dozen times people have asked about them and there has never been an answer.  Most of us do not care about them and pay no attention.
Do you have a good recipe for cookies?

Hi LIANA;
GRANA here;
I psted my reply to you elsewhere in this thread;I hope you find it & that it answers your question about BROWNIE POINTS We've all asked that question &  some ofus suggested uses for the points.If they give a valueto them, there willneed to be a more accurate record kept of them .We all seem to lose  our brownie points from time to time & then may regain them; if they had a value we wouldg t more upset than we already do.OH YES

 Enjoy the friendship& sharing that we do here &  don't  be concerned about those  points Wink

I have no idea what to cook tonight ..... I have a pan of divinity boiling on the stove but that won't make dinner.  I had a ham sandwich for breakfast - I won't want it for dinner.
