Finally got around to eating some of the ham bone soup I made a few days ago.  I like to let it sit so I can get all the fat off the top before eating.

Thanks to tornado warnings I've been in the basement all evening.  Thank goodness that seems to be over.
I plan to eat before I go to bed.

More Watermelon and a few pieces of the Elephant Butter...Gosh this stuff is good.  I am sorry that I did not try it sooner..then again I am glad I did not try it sooner.

chicken and noodles w/ English peas
I used aldi's egg noodles  and they were perfect    and a 16 oz bag was cheaper than the 8 oz  skinners at Kroger and I didn't like the generic at kroger

I sliced yesterday's  extra BBQ steak for sandwiches .... late lunch/early dinner.  Absolutely delicious.
Sometimes I think the sandwiches are better than the original steak

Tonight is a light dinner.
My husband will be in Adult Care and they feed him a huge lunch so tonight for him will be soup and a sandwich or salad and a sandwich.
I will make a salad for myself. I think chopped Romaine, Blue cheese crumbles, strawberries, a bit of turkey and some sunflower seeds. A drizzle of balsamic and I am set! I may have a bit of the soup as well.

Nikki - I haven't heard of "tiger butter" before, what is it"  From your reference I gather it's a dessert.

As far as our dinner tonight, I have a crock pot hot dish going because we have a lot of running around to do this afternoon and that way I don't have to worry about rushing home and cooking.  I think I use my crock pot more in the spring and summer than in colder weather.
