I have a monster migraine and I've take the maximum meds.   I think I'll go to bed..... I sure don't want food.

Nancy, hope you are feeling better.  Have two daughters that get migraines and I've seen them suffer with them.  One of the girls was getting a migraine during her wedding reception but made it through until she and her new husband got to the porch of the house they were going to live in, at which time she told him to look the other way, hoisted up her wedding gown and proceeded to empty her stomach into the bushes!  Poor kid.

Thank you Bakery .... I take Relpax, one of the triptans,  and most of the time it acts like a miracle drug.

I'm starving  and want a big, good, hot, early dinner so I'm thawing some pork chops.   I'll cook those in a 50-50
mixture of apricot preserves and bottled salsa.   This is a VERY good recipe I learned right here on VBB but I didn't
record who posted it.  I wish I knew.

We took the easy way out for dinner tonight and went to the golden arches.  Sometimes it is fun to just kick back and go there for a quick bite.

Nancy, I do hope you feel better soon.  I had 1 Migraine headache in my life and I feel sorry for all of you that have to deal with them.
The recipe with the salsa and apricot jam sounds very good I may have to try that with some chicken or I have a few pork chops in the freezer.  That may be next week if I can get someone to make a run to the store for apricot jam.

Tonight for dinner will be leftover pizza.  Unfortunately I ordered from a new place that I was told was good and the pizza is anything but good so I will have to do a bit of "doctoring".

Nikki -- got any peach preserves?  That's just as good.
My migraine is gone .... thank goodness.
I came home from church just starving.  I wanted to gobble my leftover pork chops w/salsa and jam but I want mashed potatoes or rice and a good vegetable with that.  So I had some soup and a sandwich for lunch.  My pork chop will make a big, beautiful dinner.

We have been so busy baking Christmas cookies that dinner time came up on us all of a sudden.  Since we have a bit more baking to do, in between repeatedly clearing the walks from all of the snow that we have been getting today, we ordered a pizza for our dinner.  We couldn't decide on just 1 or 2 items, so a "kitchen sink" pizza it is!

I'm afaid that my lovely dinner will consist of left-over pizza, that wasn't that great the first time around. My lovely wife is off on a shopping trip and won't be home till much later. After seeing what some of the rest of you had, Im almost sorry I looked. CHEERS to all.

Tonight I made a meatloaf( got a really good deal on ground beef) since we haven't had that for quite a while now.  Maybe it's just me, and my changing taste buds, but I didn't think it was as good as the mini turkey meatloafs I've gotten used to having lol.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Nancy.  I know from personal experience that migraines are no fun at all!

I just got the crockpot going with our favorite round steak recipe.  Now we can finish the decorating, I can get the laundry done and I definitely have to get the Christmas cards going.  All of a sudden it's the 10th and the panic has started to set in.

Hi Nellie,My brother makes his dumplings like that pushing them through a plastic bag with the end snipped off.I have a dumpling maker.I don't havea recipe for my dumplings as most of the things that I make that are Eastern European. They  are just from memory the way I was taught by my mom.I take flour ,a little salt,a couple of eggs, melted butter and water and make a sticky dough in my kitchen aid mixer. This I put into my dumpling maker and the dough is pushed through into boiling salted water.I cook them until they float to the top and take them out and continue until all the dough is cooked. These dumplings are more of a noodle than American style dumplings. In Hungarian these are called Nokedli.
