Jersey Mike's subs,taking tonight off because I'll be busy cooking our feast for Sunday dinner when my son and daughter in law come for dinner :)Turkey just went into brine about an hour ago,will come out tomarrow morning,can't wait to smell the turkey in the oven.

We will do another Thanksgiving dinner - turkey with bread, ground pork, onion, parsley, butter, and chicken stock stuffing as well as rolls, vegetables, desserts etc. Of course we will eat after some of the Saturday afternoon football games!!!

I just got home from my church cleaning .... I dived right into lunch ....a delicious left-over turkey sandwich.
For dinner I'll probably have left-over turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, yadda yadda
Isn't it great that I just love that stuff?

It's Thanksgiving leftovers! We have Thanksgiving at my sister's house, but everyone brings something. After dinner, she provides plastic dishes (reused containers) that we can all pack some leftovers in to take home. So we get to have Thanksgiving 2 tonight! Just heat things up in the micro wave.

Yum! These menus are all making me hungry!!! We eat very lightly on Sunday night....usually grilled cheese sandwiches. I quite often just eat a bowl of dry cereal like Lucky Charms, Corn Pops, or Corn Chex. My niece's husband thought I was quite strange a few years ago when he saw me eating it like that!
Tonight we are also going to have some of my mom's delicious fruit salad. She made some to take to my sister's for Thanksgiving Day dinner and we still have half a quart of heavy cream left so yesterday I bought some more cans of fruit and bananas to make a batch for us to enjoy!

CAROL; After a BIG noontime meal, we always have a light dinner. Insummer monthswe havecoldcerealw/ fresh peachesor berries...This time of year we have oatmeal.We don't think it's wierd, we just have no APETITE for another BIG MEALIf we ate out @noon; cereal helps t average out the food costs for the day; If we ate at home; the cook( me)gets a break ( doesn't have to do much work to get our lite supper on the table , hubby can & does prepare them , easily.
With so many delicious whole grain cereals available, we also easily & pleasantly get a good healthy portion of those whole grains into our bodies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,

I had lunch/dinner at church - so good and I ate so much. Wow - we had a good meal.
So I won't eat anything tonight..... except maybe a bowl of ice cream ..... some dip and chips .... maybe a ham sandwich ..... maybe

Sure Ann come on over,I would be glad to share.I do wish everyone lived close enough to do that.Everyone on VBB would fit in with all my neighbors.Like I have said before we have weekly get togethers during the warm and cool months and a mid winter party at my neighbors bakery.I think we should do it in the winter outside by a fire with hot cocoa and coffee,but none of them want to,party poopers :) LOL

We eat our main meal at noon, and as we volunteer at our local hosptal, I don't know what we will eat. We are fortunate to receive our meal free. They have 3 or 4 choices so it most always is very good.

My "diet" starts again today!! I will make a big salad topped with a bit of dried cranberries and a bit of turkey. The scale laughed at me when I stepped on it this morning, either that or it was the dog but either way I have to get back on track!
My husband will get a side salad and some hot turkey and gravy along with some mashed potatoes.
