Sausage, sauerkraut, pierogis sounds pretty good to me. I just try to make my own pierogis. Does anyone have a recipe for them? I think I want to do bacon and potato filling. If I can not find a recipe for them the bacon will go into the pan with the onions and sauerkraut.

Yeah! I did it. I found a recipe for Pierogi dough and I made a batch. !/3 the recipe did not know how they would turn out and I did not want a huge number if they were horrid and I did not want a lot in case they were really good.
I boiled one and it was pretty good. Will be much better once it is fried in a bit of butter (or bacon grease).
the onions and sauerkraut are cooking in the slow cooker.
Ok..... I guess I am using the slow cooker :)
The sausage will be browned and tossed in with the sauerkraut a bit later.

Hubby and son are ordering pizza to eat while watching the football game ( BROWNS ) Me not sure if I'll have a spaghetti dinner or just eat left overs?

We had chicken and dumplings for dinner. I really enjoy this meal, but it is a bit of work the way I make it. It's worth the effort and appreciated by all. No matter how good I think it tastes, it can't hold a candle to how good my Mom's chicken and dumplings tasted.

Tonight was kind of funky. My husband has a toothache(probably infected) and is on antibiotics, so he had some cream of mushroom soup. I just had a homemade banana, nectarine and plum smoothie. Sounds kind of weird but it was really good made with some almond milk.

Well last night the guys had pizza during the game and I ate my potato soup.Now I have left over pizza,chili,chicken rice soup and loaded baked potato soup.So guess what we're having for dinner? That's right a smorgasbord !

We're having pork loin for dinner tonight. I'm making the meat and the rest of the family is bringing the veggies, fruit and potatoes. Such an easy meal in my opinion.

Mon.= hot dogs, onion rings & a double milkshake for hubby, I had a hot dog & later a yogurt. I cut up the 1/2 boneless pork loin for the freezer, sliced a lot of onions & bell peppers for Tue. dinner & did not feel like making a big dinner, so as long as I made the milkshake, hubby was ok with hotdogs.

I have a soup going. Bean soup, the last of my blend of beans that I picked up. I did enjoy them but will not buy the blend again I will just keep the container and make my own blend.
It was a mixture of lentils, black beans, northern, pinto and a few others. I can get most of them for $1.00 a bag and it will be less than what the regular price is on the "gourmet" blend.

I think we'll just have polska kielbasa and baked potatoes with a huge spinach salad. We picked up the best fresh peppers and tomatoes at the farmers market, so they will find their way in to the salad.
