Beef and vegetable stew with barley. I'm putting it in the crock so I can smell it all day and go nuts while waiting!

We had barbecued ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, and a bunch of sides.  We had a gift certificate to Dickey's so we thought tonight would be a good night to use it.  My goodness, are we full!

I made a brown rice/lentil cassserole to go with a turkey breast.  It took quite a while to bake in the oven but was very good.

We're having such a simple meal tonight - macaroni and cheese, fish fillets and peas.  This was a family favorite when our children were young and we now consider it a "comfort meal".

I've been going through recipes on this site and one other trying to find something I'd like to make.  So far it's a bust.  If I don't come up with something soon, it may be a fast food night.  Undecided

I think it will be a leftover meal tonight.  We have a bit of quite a few things, and it would be nice to have more room in the refrigerator, so I think this will be a good idea.  Actually, I think many things taste better the second time around.  Add a salad and fruit and we will have a feast!
