my family party tonite     expecting 30

i have   rotel/velveeta cheese dip ,  my armour drief beed cheese ball, cocktail weinies,
deli-sliced  ham, turkey and beef
variety sliced cheeses  chips crackers and breads
my homemade chicken salad, with croissants
lettuce , tomatos  choice of pickles, olives  and other condiments

sweet tea and 2 kinds of kool-aid and whatever anyone else shows up with

i'm sure i'll have a little of each all day long

Hi Nellie --- sounds like a wonderful party. 
I have cocktail weeines in KC BBQ sauce setting in my 'fridge.   They just aren't appealing.  How do you fix yours?  What kind/brand of sauce?

good morning nancy,
i use my triple decker crockpot ( 2 1/2 qt ea)        cheese dip in one
weenies in the other two  
currently by request i'm using              Sweet Baby Ray's      the one that says award winning sauce
not the ones that have added other stuff like honey smoke etc       and everyone likes that

i used to use the old mixture   of apple or grape jelly with catsup  but my son said no
even tho they were always all eaten   about 3 lbs.

Tonight is our traditional dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant.  We have been doing this dinner on Christmas Eve for so many, many years and we wouldn't dare change tradition.  After dinner we all come over to our home and play games.  Later on we go to church at 11 pm so we get out on Christmas Day.  It's a wonderful, cozy tradition-laded evening.

Christmas Eve dinner:  turkey, pork roast, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dressing, broccoli casserole, cranberry-orange sauce, relish tray and tons of cookies lol.   After dinner, lots of presents and coffee.  After everybody goes home, then the fun really starts, doing the dishes!

we open presents tonite too
and for several yrs now they all pitch in and help clean up before going home
dishes and all           my son and family come early to help get everything put out

i keep up with the dishes and pots etc all day

I decided to go ahead and roasted that lovely turkey breast.  And I made mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans and cole slaw.  It was a lovely meal on a lovely night.

For starters shrimp cocktail.For dinner prime rib roast rare to med. rare,baked potato with sour cream and butter. steamed cauliflower,baby carrots and brocolli,tossed salad and homemade dinner rolls.For dessert New York style cheesecake with blueberry topping.Can't wait to dig in.

After yesterday, I don't even want to look at the food in the house lol.  Finally got the last of the dishes done this morning.  Now I think I will go rest up.  Maybe a sandwich later on lol.

NOON: 
Christmas EVE lunch out at IHOP: 
he:: bacon cheeseburger w/ onion rings ,shared 
  dill pickle
 coffee( 2 BIG carafes hot&  yummy; "neverending"
home for ice c ream w/ banana slices
me: A kid's meal:
 one  JUMBO  whole wheat  blueberry pancake w/  lots of blueberries blueberry syrup
one strip turkey bacon 
scrambled fat & cholesterol free egs;,  hot tea
 3-4 onion rings from hubbyKiss
home for a cple of vanilla wafers & a chocolate  chip cookie
DINNER:
 bowls of spicey chicken andouille ssuage gumbo  w/ added extra JUMBO shrimp 
 garlic toast
 cheesecake , raw apple   OR cookies & icecream
