In Response to Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER TONIGHT? : That amazes me that there is not a site where these items can be found.  Although the problem with some of the "specialty" sites is they charge so much.  Is there a way your doctor can order supplies for you or if you go to the pharmacy maybe they can place an order for you.  You may have to wait a few days for the items to come in on a delivery but it might be worth it, especially if they do not charge extra for the order.  As to your " thanks " to Nancy and Cheri for your healthy dinner....it is always nice to blame someone else for over indulging.

no blame  nikki,
I actually meant thanks, for reminding me
I sometimes have dessert for supper or I would never have room for it   or have to eat it too late

the biggest problem w supplies is that the pharmacies who used to carry a lot more  are now stocking groceries, toys, and many other items         where
I used to buy a lot of these items in the grocery store
they do have some hydro gel products but all are waterproof with adhesive and I can't put adhesive on my skin, recently  twice

Nikki - I couldn't agree with you more about the need for physical activity of some sort for the people in their care.  My physical therapist will be outraged when I see her next and tell her about this.  She is always telling her clients to always keep moving and that it is even more important for our senior citizens, expecially for those recovering from broken hips.  It is definitely an uphill battle at times, isn't it?  And, it's okay to get up on your soap box because we all need to get things off our chests.  I will keep both you and your husband in my thoughts and prayers.

We were going to have pizza for dinner last night until I went to our refrigerator and saw the most beautiful pork chops that my husband had picked up.  I quickly browned them and put them in a crock pot on low with a bit of gravy.  We ended up with a dinner of mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn and luscious pork chops in gravy.  It was so, so good.  Thank goodness I don't eat like that every day, I'd be a blimp.  And to think that when I was growing up we had meals like that every single night.

Dinner was a delight ....... I BBQed  two really nice rib eyes.  Had one of those with a baked potato, refried beans and a salad.   Tomorrow I'll use the second steak in sandwiches.

I made a big salad using a mixture of a bunch of greens, added cucumbers, green peppers, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, and celery.  I saved some of the greens and will have them tomorrow with strawberries and blueberries in it.

Nellie -- we have an Aldis in a neighboring town.  I haven't been in it since 1993.  Just yesterday my next door neighbor was talking about how much she likes it.  She says the produce is the best in this area.  Now I'm going to have to go there.

We're having such an easy and quick dinner - hot dogs on the grill, corn on the cob on the grill, baked beans and fresh strawberries for dessert.

I made a really nice dinner last night of Marinated tri tip (from Costco) stuffed baked potatoes, green beans, and peach cobbler for dessert, so tonight it is lean cuisine!!  Monday we will probably have French Dip sandwiches to use up the Tri tip.
