I just finished making --- making, not eating --- another batch of that grand candy cane bark. After a bit on the computer I'll go have another ham sandwich with tomatoes.
I hope I can stand the excitement.

Hubby's out-patient proceedure ,yesterday, went wel ll & he was brought home ( not allowed to drive after anethesia)an our earlir than they had aticipated.
They told me that he would most likely not want to eat & told me to not prepare a meal for him He got home an hour early & was hungry( he had fasted for 12hours in preparation.Ihad bakedbrownies;cocoltecriscookies& achesecaketo keepmyself "thinking positive" I wasstil washingup panetc. whenhecamehome.He prepared him self a sandwich I made him amugof hot tea.; & 7 he went to sleep early. Today he awoke hungry; pain managed by anO.TC. pain pill, He took a nap or two & ate his lunch & dinner w/gusto

He skipped his usual 5 mile daily walk( too cold out there); instead, heh ate PB cookies;brownies wth mugs of fresh hot coffee.
Today, Tuesday:NOON: Venus D’Milo (zucchini) soup Spinach & feta cheese pizza ( reruns) Black cherry jello w/ walnuts& real whipped cream Hot tea/coffee &asst. cookies
DINNER: Grilled sirloin tip steak Onion rings BIG baked potato; shared; Edamame & pearls (green shelled soy beans & tiny pearl onionsBeverage choice(s) “Mud pie” w/ real whipped cream

I love Subway,my son works there and my oldest worked there for 10 years.There are so many ways to make them it never gets boring.I made meatloaf mashed potatoes and gravy,corn and cookies for desert.

Just got home from church .... had my usual turkey sandwich with tomatoes and potato chips ... and a nice glass of cold milk.
I always drink milk with a meak .... 1% milk

My Husband and Sons have to work today and have a few things to get at the grocery store so we are doing take out Mexican food,we found a great Mexican restaurant and we decided back then that is what we were doing Christmas Eve.I will have the Prime rib tomorrow.

Tonight: I think this is going to be a pizza night.
I have some baking to do. My grandson has requested a Chocolate Truffle Pie for tomorrow. I saw a recipe for a Cranberry Steusel Pie that I also want to make. Then I plan out times and what goes into the oven when. My sister always laughs when she comes over for a big dinner. She walks around the kitchen looking for my "timetable". It just makes things so much easier and everything comes out at the right time.

John, You had me at BACONand chocolate chip pancakes, I like waffles better but it sounds great. Then I read that you have country ribs and yam patties...I think I am in love!! (Ya got BBQ sauce with the ribs? what kind?)

I t took many of us a very long time to learn our way around this new site,I guess you had the same difficulty.But at last you are here w/ us ALL again.
Some of us are still strugging w/ getting to the places here we want to be.

There is a thread" " linking us to a place where we can state our old names( from the old site)Some of us do as Ive done here: written our [ site] names in a bold large font bright color; so we will be noticeable to others;[ looking for our old freinds]. Not having been given the option to retain our old avataar pics; it's not otherwise simple to pick out our old pals....we must be clever/sneaky & find alternate methods.
So farI have found: rotty girl; tasha buddy; tyger & daisymay. I think I may have found mystic meg ????????????????????
Wether or not we find our old pals; there are still many( new/other pals) to become aquainted with There is a link in WATER COOLER : "share your name from the old site";[ too litle used]; that would help us ALL find each other

It is a tradition in our family to have Dungeoness (SP?) Crab for Christmas Eve. We add fresh Sourdough bread and a good green salad. Dessert is some of the many cookies I have baked for the season. We usually add a nice glass of Chardonnay wine for the occasion. Yes, we live in the San Francisco Bay Area!
