Our daughter is getting back from a trip and I thought I'd surprise her with dinner so I'm making a roasted chicken along with mashed potatoes and gravy. This is one of her favorite meals so it should be a nice surprise for her.

Last night I made a recipe my niece gave me. It was braised polish sausage and cabbage. It had garlic, Italian herbs and I added some kale. It was very good and there's enough for another meal. I had accidently bought "hot" sausage but it added a punch to the dish. Of course there was the tongue burning after.

we went to olive garden for lunch
they have unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks for 6.95 each   and since we only had water our ticket was 15.05
i went w/ my g.s. other g.m.     to toast our "freedom" from the school bell
she had the chicken gnocchi(sp)   and i had zuppa toscana        which is chicken broth with italian sausage and red potatoes and

Oh sure come for dinner. I really do want to taste the cactus that's now on my bucket list and I hope to cross that one off soon.I really think most things are edible if they are prepared properly.We just might not like how they taste.I can't eat deer and it's not because it's Bambi I have tried it on several occasions and I just don't like it.I've tasted it prepared many ways.The latest time was deer jerky that my bother had gotten from a chef friend of his.he didn't tell me what it was I tasted it and said this is deer and it's gross! I just don't like it,period! My oldest boy's wife has a family reunion in West Virginia every year and he eats deer when they go and he loves it.

Tonight my son and I are going out to a fish fry to one of our favorite restaurants.You get salad bar,soup and all you can eat fish for $10.99.The price is right and I'm tired so we are going out.
