I have to try that "slawed" hot dog. I removed a hot dog from the freezer but don't have any buns.
I'm going out today and will get some .... has to be today - that chopped cabbage for slaw is going to get old.

Roast chicken with stuffing ,mashed potatoes and gravy,corn on the cobb frozen from last summer and salad.No desert down to once a week on that and only if we are good all week.Nancy I don't like game meat either and I have tasted venison on several occassions and still don't like it,too wild tasting for me.My brother tried passing on some (beef jerky) venison jerky I knew right away what it was.I do like rabbit however.

Left overs this way. I buttered and toasted sliced french bread and heated up some of my French Pulled Beef with a bit of horseradish sauce, layered it on the toasted bread, topped it with thinly sliced onions and mozzarella and stuck it in the microwave to melt the cheese. Very good and filling. Gale, your slaw dogs sound good. I love hotdogs with saurkraut too.

Like Susan, I'm having a big, yummy salad ..... great greens, almonds, bacon, chopped fried chicken breast, grapes, tomato and onion. I'd be eating right this minute but I washed the greens and I'm hoping they dry a bit on paper towels in the 'fridge. (I'm too lazy to get out the salad spinner)

Thanks Gale and Nancy! I enjoy so much chatting on this board...learning experience plus friendly people like you guys!

I just can't get rid of this migrane headache, it lightens for a few hours and then hits hard again!

We had a bean soup/stew over rice! A family member made it and gave us a container. Never had anything like it before but it was very good! A ice cream cone for dessert!

What kind of diet are you on? I start mine next week, shopping tomorrow to get my special items. I am counting calories...works best for me because of my health issues! Good Luck Gale, we will have to support and cheer each other on!

Potato pierogies, do you make your own? You gave me another wonderful memory of my Mom. She would make her own dough, buy this special sharp cheese and spend all day making them Oh my how yumy they were! I have her recipe and that will be cherished!

Susan - can I ask what you take for your migraines? Is it effective?
For many years now I've gone from one triptan to the next. Imitrex was the first and did absolutely nothing ... each newer one worked more. I've been on Relpax since it came out.
I sure hope you have something that finally beats a miserable migraine.

SusieSew, I have been around. I just don't like the new site very well. Still having too many problems with it and get tired of fighting it.

Gale, the roast beef is easy to make for the pulled sandwiches. A slowcooker/crockpot, roast, can of beef broth, salt & pepper to taste, can of beer and a pkg. of onion soup/dip mix. Put it on in the am and forget about it until dinner time. Shred it and serve some of the juice to dip the sandwiches in. The left overs freeze great too. I think I will add some garlic & worcestershire sauce next time.

Hi Susan,I'm just cutting out all sweets and counting calories,really cutting down on portions.I don't make my own pierogies,Mrs T.helped me out with those LOL.I would like to try one day to make my own.With the diet I figure it took awhile to put on the weight it will come off the same way.I have to eat because of health reasons also.

Hi Wa-Ha K ,Thanks for the recipe,I will try this soon .I am waiting until my birthday to get a new crock pot then I will be making everything in a crock pot LOL.
