Welcome Lynn, and thanks for the brownie recipe.  I just happen to have a box of brownie mix in my cupboard.  I sent hubby to the store with a list and he read "brown rice" as brownie mix.  They were the same price he said.

Should we call you Dr. Judy? your hand writing can't be that bad!
In all honesty I can see how Brown and brownie could be mixed up. Rice and mix both have an "i" in the middle.
You could make it rather fun to send him to the store.

Thank you so much for the picture and the idea.  My granddaughter wants to make this for her birthday party in July.  This is so kid friendly and will be so much  fun to make with her.

I mentioned this in a post about what was for dinner but it turned out so great I figured I had better share...
I bought some peaches the other day.  The first one I had was great.  The next 2 not so good.
I took some pie crust dough out of the freezer and thawed it out then rolled it out into sort of a circle.
I diced up the 4 peaches I had, added a bit of cinnamon sugar and a tablespoon of cornstarch to the peaches.
Dumped the whole mess onto the crust and folded the edges up around the peaches.  Sprinkled a bit more cinnamon sugar on the top and baked for about 30 minutes. Oven was set at 350 for the chicken I also had in the oven.
Amazing! My husband even had 2 pieces.

I just ran across the picture to your suggested July 4th dessert--too cute!!
I teach school at a wellness school--no baked goods or sweets of any sort, fast foods, or junk food stuff allowed on the school campus.  I do not agree with this totally, however, I must follow the rules.
This would be a wonderful treat for my little darlings (I teach Kindergarten).
Thanks so much for posting the picture.

when my g.s. was 1n 3rd grade i think     they told us that right before a party    and i was at a total loss
but when i was at the grocery where i had gone to buy cookies (acceptable, but homemade wasn't)
they had a big counter full of those "cuties"  those delicious little tangerines so i picked up 2 bags and took them
every child ate at least one and most had 2 or 3  and all agreed that it was a wonderful treat (my g.s. ate 6)
