For the last week or two I've been baking hard .... And this afternoon I'm taking a bowl of watermelon and, of course, cookies to a church function.  My dessert when I get home will be watermelon - lots of watermelon.

I think a slice of fresh banana bread, it just so happens 2 just came out of my oven, toasted with a light layer of Nutella will do nicely for dessert.
I just may go out for some Frozen Custard though...will have to see what happens after dinner. Having pizza delivered as the painters are still here.

I had my dessert before dinner today.  A small ice cream cone which I had to eat very fast so it wouldn't run away in all this heat lol.  It really cooled me down before I had my leftover salad with cold chicken.  Too darn hot to cook!

Gale, It is a never ending battle. I used to speed walk all the time but after I hurt my back in 1998, is
when I started gaining weight. I walk when I can but I can't walk like I used to. I think the older you
get, the harder it is to lose weight. One lady in TOPS said over the years she has lost her weight
3 times. She now has to do it all over again. I would really like to eat French fries but I do the
sweet potato fries in the oven every once in a while. lol lol

We'll probably skip dessert since I'll be doing breaded baked pork chops, potatoes with onions and peppers. broccoli, and corn on the cob.  Dessert for lunch was a small bowl of red raspberries and blueberrries.
