This could be desert or served as a sweet salad : 1 3 1/2 oz.package of instant pistachio pudding do not make the pudding just use the dry mix., 1 20oz. can of crushed pinapple with the juice, 1 cup of minature marshmallows, 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts, 1 small container of frozen whipped topping thawed.Mix pudding,pinapple with the juice,marshmallows and nuts in a bowl,then fold in whipped topping.refridgerate for a few hours before serving.My aunt gave me this recipe over 40 years ago and it is a family favorite.

Hi Sharon,just use the pudding mix dry.This is good,I made some for Thanksgiving because my husband can't eat cranberries because of a medication he is taking,so he was happy with this.Sharon thanks I should have specified with the pudding I've changed the recipe to reflect this.

Yesterday I was looking for something to snack on and noticed this recipe on a can of Dole Crushed pineapple. Thought hmmm wonder if its any good...Guess I'll give it a try since ya'll give it a thumbs up!

This salad must be making a "comeback" I saw it in a magazine a week or so ago. Then again it was in the doctors office, the magazine could have been 40 years old!

It was made in the 70's and it's origin isn't real clear,some say it was developed by the Chef who worked at the Watergate hotel then some others say it was their recipe.It is refered to as an American classic .I worked for a Dr. and I have to say some of the magazines in his office were bordering on collectibles and antiques.lol lol lol
