In Response to Re: WANTED - RECIPE PLEASE!!:
Gale... You are very welcome! Would you share you recipe with me...sounds good too! I love trying new dishes! If i can think of anymore PA Dutch recipes, I will forward them onto you! Nikki... You are exactly right, they needed meals that fed a large family and of course...cheap! Yes, the stuffed noodles are similar to Ravioli or Perogies (sp ?). Now when my sister and I made them, she made them that eating one was a meal. I think when I make them, I will down size it a bit. My Mom made dumplings like that too more like a biscuit and I think if my memory is correct, she would drop spoonfuls of Bisquick dough on the top. Now last week, I made home-made noodles for my Meatball Stroganoff and that dough was made totally different than what I was expecting. They were very good! Thank you for sharing your recipe with me, that was very thoughtful. Sorry for any confusion!!

This was very good Susan we had it for dinner.I added chicken soup base to the water and I thickened it at the end otherwise I followed it to a tee.I opted for dumplings instead of the rolled out dough I was running later and I was cutting it close Mike had to go to work.Next time I 'll roll out the dough.I'm so glad I cooked the chicken last night and cut up the veggies too, that saved some time. Thanks Susan I think the French Canadian meat pie will be next, then the stuffed noodles.Tomorrow is Spaghgetti and meat balls the kids are coming for dinner. Thanks so much again.
