In Response to What I WANT in my oven!:
I have a Duncan Hines Caramel Cake Mix and was thinking about making an apple dump cake with it. But then I noticed I have some pumpkin (homemade). I have seen cake mixes that you can just add pumpkin and mix it up, bake and you have a cake. My question is......Could I do it similar to a dump cake? Apple pie filling in the bottom, then mix the caramel cake mix and pumpkin together and pour over the apples? And how long would I want to bake that? I'm thinking that would be a great combination of pumpkin, apple, and caramel! Just not sure how I would do it!

I think as a Dump Cake your plan sounds great.
I have another recipe that is much like a dump cake, you make a pumpkin pie filling and pour that into a 13X9 pan then sprinkle a dry cake mix over the top, sprinkle on some nuts then drizzle the butter over.
I think mixing the pumpkin and the apple together would be great. I would toss some pecans on it as well.
If you have some caramel ice cream topping I wold drizzle that over the cake when you take it out of the oven.
Sounds heavenly and I don't know what it is like where you are but it is chilly and raining and a bit of hail here so a warm cake out of the oven sounds perfect.
