Turkey Cup Cakes

This afternoon my granddaughter, Jaimie came over. She is 10 years old and in the 5th grade. We decided to make cup cakes. I had a mix that I had gotten on sale, so we used that. When they were out of the oven and cool, We frosted them with chocolate frosting and made them into turkeys using the instructions for the Turkey cookies on this site. They came out adorable. She decorated the whole 24 cup cakes by herself. All she needed was a little music to keep her going. What fun!!

Aaaaahhhhhh Barbara - your daughter is a blessed child. Such a kind and patient grandmother.
I've looked at those cookies too wondering about just decorating some with the kids I have on Sunday nights.

Sounds like fun. My girls have always wanted to help me decorate cakes and such. Now they will bake just because they can. It's nice to instill that confidence young.
