What will you be doing on Thanksgiving. My husband goes hunting with friends. He has done it for over 40 years. I will probably spend it with my brother and son and daughter-in-law. I love to cook the Turkey and make the pies, pumpkin, apple, and mincemeat. The house just smell wonderful.

I should follow Maryann's lead....
Since family has pretty much cut us off it will be just the 2 of us.  I will probably do a turkey just for the left overs. But a very small meal. Mashed taters and he has always loved red cabbage so I will do that. I will make a baked sweet potato for me. As for dessert maybe a free form apple crostada.  Like an apple pie but no pie pan and super simple

My Son and his family will travel here and my Daughter will be doing the cooking (I will add my favorites) and we will all gather at her residence for our "traditional family Thanksgiving.  Lots of goodies and lots of fun!!  I hope everyone will do dinner or be invited to share this Holiday with friends or family!

I cook every year.  Thanksgiving is our all time favorite holiday and my husbands most loved meal.  Our son, his sweet little fiancé and her momma will be our guests for dinner as usual.  We also have airmen from base if need be join us. Not all military have near by family and no one should ever spend Thanksgiving alone (only if they want to) so we extend an open invitation to my husbands wing every year.  Both my husband (hospitals are open 24/7/365) and my son (police officer) will be working on Thanksgiving day but the feast will be awaiting their arrival! Smile
May your turkey's be moist and your potatoes lump free!!!

Youngest of our four children will be here from NY, along with her husband.  We four will have a small meal, probably a turrkey breast with stuffing, sweet potatoes, sweet and sour green beans and some type of dessert.  Maybe pumpkin pie, maybe pumpkin pie cake.  Need to think that through.

For over 30 years I have made a traditional Thanksgiving meal for my family and often friends, at our home, using many recipes handed down from my family. My youngest son bought his first house this year and has decided he wants to start some traditions for his new home. So we are visiting him this year!! I'm not sure what he will be having on the menu, but I'm willing to bet I get to bring desserts and some side dishes. Smile

Not sure what will be happening for Thanksgiving this year.  I usually have everyone over here but with the way things are going this year maybe I will have to forget about that since I may not have time to do all the cooking.  My Mom had a stroke in September and is still in rehab so I will have to wait and see where she will be at the end of next month.
