I think I've posted this recipe before but it's so good  .............
I've made it with so many different sorts of candy bars but I want to make some with a peanut butter cup.
Kids always like the Butterfinger bars the best.

SNICKERS BAR COOKIES
350* - ungreased - 12-14 minutes - 4 Doz. cookies
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 brown sugar
2 stick butter softened
2 beaten eggs
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
*14 oz bag of mini Snickers Candy bars (use Milky Way, Butterfinger - anything you like)
Instructions say to cut candy bars in half. I don't, I use whole
Mix everything as usual. I divide the dough into 48 balls then roll dough around a candy bar.
Make certain the dough "seals" in the candy bar and forms a little ball. I sprinkle each ball with a tiny amount of cocoa, confectioners sugar, finely chopped peanuts, whatever I want.
Bake at 350* on ungreased sheet 12-14 minutes or until a light golden brown.  Cool on sheet 2 minutes, then transfer to rack to cool completely.

Nancy - Thank you for posting thisrecipe.  I had made these when my children were little and lost the recipe in one of our moves.  I will have to make these for my granddaughter, I'm sure she'll love them.  Thank you also for your "add ons" - a good idea.

I just finished baking this batch ..... half Snickers and half peanut butter cups.   I sprinkled the Snickers with confectioners sugar and the peanut butter ones with cocoa and sugar mix .... so I can tell them apart after baking.
They are SO good.

LOL LOL --- that's like Nestle's great Kris Kringle Peanut Butter Cups.
Of course your Caramel Chocolate Oatmeal Bars are more candy than cake!
