I was looking around on the Kraft site and started looking at all the new ideas for jello and pudding. I mentioned Jello and pudding here before but hadn't explored the site completely. This is my first thing to make from the new ideas. It's so easy!

White Choco-Berry Bread Pudding

White Choco-Berry Bread Pudding

  • What you need
  • 1

    French bread baguette

  • 1/4 cup

    margarine or butter

  • 1-1/2 cups

    frozen red raspberries

  • 1 cup

    BAKER'S Premium White Chocolate Morsels

  • 2 pkg.

    JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

  • 1-1/4 qt.

    milk

  • 3

    egg

  • 1/2 cup

    PLANTERS Slivered Almonds

  • How to make it
  • 1

Toss bread with margarine; spread onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle with raspberries and chocolate morsels.

  • 2

Beat pudding mixes and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Reserve 1-1/2 cups pudding; refrigerate until ready to use. Whisk eggs into remaining pudding until blended; pour over ingredients in baking dish.

  • 3

Bake 20 min. Sprinkle with nuts; bake 15 to 20 min. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly.

  • 4

Cook reserved pudding in saucepan 5 min. or until heated through, stirring constantly; serve spooned over bread pudding.

looks good except for the raspberries

an idea for you
one of the best i ever had  and lost the recipe for and can't remember it all and the person who gave it to me has passed away
it called for toasted bread
but the butter/margarine  was melted in the oven in the pan  and the bread  mixed in
saves washing one bowl      that would work in any recipe like this when the bread is mixed w/ the butter
which to me gives an extra buttery flavor

never thought of using a pudding mix like that and you can use the sugar-free ones to cut down on sugar/calories

Never have seen a recipe using pudding as a base for a bread pudding.
Sounds good I just might have to do this this weekend.

OH Nellie! I'm sorry about the water situation. Why would someone do that? I'm writing serious but my mouth keeps smiling because your "rats rats rats" is funny! But really why do such a thing? And I agree with you and I'm not putting berries either. I stopped eating pistachios after learning what they exactly are and have in them!

I don't care for the nuts either        you notice I said  walnuts
but I love the pudding and ice cream
we're having our dinner today at son's house   so i'll have to wait to make it

and they do that every day around here      they sell it for scrap          I can't believe  it's not happening there
a large old catholic church in Houston was hit 3 times last week     on their a/c system   over $50,000
damages   and they've had donations of about 10 tons and money to repair and try to make it more secure    although it was already behind a pad-locked  iron fence
     it's just a constant
home builders have had to hire security for new homes to keep any metals from leaving
3 nuts got caught yesterday trying to sell a stolen ambulance for scrap       and it goes on--------

Nellie, the stupid idiots! That's crazy! I live in a small town so I guess it hasn't happened yet but "what goes around comes around" so it probably will. Do you live in a large town or is it bigger like a city? An ambulance? Huh. Crazy. Oh and I love nuts just not pistachios as they belong on the "bucket list" after hearing that there is a worm or something that gets in there. Details are sketchy but it was something of the sort.

That's really mean of people to steal copper from stuff that impacts other people.  Sometimes they steal from the electric transformer stuff and get fried.  I say good enough for them.  They also steal copper from aircontidioners.

Vicki, I justs bought 2 pack of instant vanilla pudding mix.  It was Royal, not Jello and was on sale for 30¢, an unheard of price these days. I really wanted lemon to make lemon Lush, but there wasn't any.  That looks like a good recipe.  Just what I need-----more recipes.

Unfortunately, anything that isn't nailed down(even some that is) is game for some to steal.  Our next door neighbor works for the power company and he says anything metal is being stolen, especially copper.  Seems they get more money for copper than anything else.

Hope your water is back on by now.

Thanks for posting the recipe Vicki.  It sounds great.  Bet it would work with strawberries or cherries too.  I wonder if it wasn't in one of the many emails I got from Kraft that I haven't had time to look at.  LOL
