In Response to Sauerkraut salad:
I have been making my own sauerkraut,mainly for the probiotics and health benefits.Cooking the sauerkraut kills off the probotic properties .I have been looking for recipes to use this uncooked and I found this sauerkraut recipe: SAUERKRAUT SALAD: 1 large can or jar of sauerkraut do not drain,one cup of each of the following,chopped onion ,chopped celery,chopped green bell pepper.1 1/2 cup sugar I use Splenda, 1/2 cup oil.Mix in nonmetal bowl and refrigerate overnight ,drain off liquid and serve.

You are such a good and knowledgeable cook, any ideas as to dishes that are high in Potassium and Vit. D? My blood work is showing a deficiency in this and I am being medicated for it. I had no idea that when you have a deficiency like this how greatly it effects your body.
Oil, do you use EVOO, Olive oil or Veg.?
