I made a yummy white fudge with White chocolate morsels, sweetened condensed milk, craisins and nuts.  The recipe only used half of the sweetened condensed milk. Now I need suggestions as to what

The recipe only used half of the sweetened condensed milk.
Now I need suggestions as to what to do with the other half of the milk.

Help......please

Help please - me too - I have a half can of Carnation Sweetened Condensed Milk in  my 'fridge.  I know I'll throw out that expensive stuff in a day or two.  This is starting me to think I should avoid such recipes.

i don't know about sweetened condensed------------but i freeze left over evaporated milk all the time---------i use it when i make potato soup and for one person you can't use the whole can---------------------so i think you could probably do the same with the sweetened kind-----------------------i know that some people freeze things like that in ice cube trays and then store the cubes in freezer bags

Interesting, I've never had a half can left over.  But you could try making a half batch of something that calls for a full can, like Magic Cookie Bars.  You could make it in an 8X8 pan instead of a 9X13 pan.  Just a thought.

Freezing is not recommended,If you drink coffee or tea it can be used in place of cream and sugar. In either hot or iced tea and coffee.Us it in hot cocoa also.I have heard it can be heated in a pan and it will become carmel this is not something I have done myself but it is just a thought.

I often check for recipes by ingredients when we have left overs.  Try to calculate a 1/2 batch of a dessert as another blogger suggested.  I do it all the time...even if you are off by a little on the measures it should still taste pretty good.  Most desserts with sweetened cond milk are very tasty.

I keep a can or two on hand.  If we happen to run out of milk, my husband will use it in his coffee.  I don't use regular milk, I am lactose intolerant.  If I have a lot of my milk on hand, he will use some of that, otherwise he opens one of the cans and uses that.  We put it in a jar, rather than keep it in the can.

Whenever I use it in a recipe I have never had left over milk. However it can be used in hot chocolate, coffee, tea,or  mashed potatoes/yams

It sounds like the skies the limit according to other comments.

Perhaps you could use it in coffee, hot chocolate or on a hot cereal.  Diluted maybe it could be used on cold unsweetened cold cereal.

I think with all the sugar that is in it, it would probably keep for more than a few days.  i like the idea of a half batch of Magic Cookie Bars.  I love those

Lots of good suggestions. Thanks
I made a batch of candy using Nestles Butterscotch morsels and lots of walnuts.  It used the rest of the sweetened condensed milk and was quite tasty.  The chocolate fudge I had made earlier went first but both the white fudge and butterscotch one were nibbled away by the time the kids returned to their own homes.  (I think they may have fixed themselves a pkg to take along)
