So many cake mixes have the pudding in the mix already.  Sorry, I don't have the recipe you are wanting.

While watching "The View" this morning, it was Joy's B'day and she was giving away gifts.  The one I was so impressed with was the "Demy."   They said it is about the size of an index card and holds over 2,000 receipes.  Some of the features are:  three built-in timers, a conversion tool which will tell you how many quarts are in a gallon,  etc., plus other features.  The price is $200.  For those of us who are always loosing receipes this  is fantastic.

This sounds really interesting.  My luck I would set the darn thing down and put a news paper over it and it would be put in the recycle bin. (And yes I read a real news paper paper not on line paper.)
there is something about a cook book that I will never give up.  I like the book.  I like feeling the paper.  I like holding the book.  I sit down and read them.
I like the idea of a Kindle and all the other tablet "thingies" but I don't think I would ever get one.  For the very reason that I like an actual book.

I found one for you. It is chocolate but I am sure you can adapt it for a white cake mix and I would use white chips in place of the chocolate.
1 package devils food cake mix.
1 package  chocolate instant pudding mix 4 serving size
4 eggs
1 1/3 Cup chocolate milk
1/3 Cup oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 2/3 Cup chopped chocolate
Pre heat oven to 350
Grease or line 2 pans, 12 cup muffin tins. (24 cupcakes)
In large bowl of mixer combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, milk, oil and cinnamon.  Beat on low speed for 1 minute to blend then on medium speed for 1 minute.  Stir in chopped chocolate.
Spoon batter into cup cake liners.  Bake 20 minutes or until tops spring back.  cool completely on wire rack.

Topping.
1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup whipping cream
In medium saucepan over low heat, heat chocolate and whipping cream, stirring constantly until smooth.
Allow mixture to cool and thicken a bit.  Spread over cooled cupcakes.

You could easily adapt this to a white cake mix, vanilla pudding, white chocoalte chips and use milk or a mixture of milk and sour cream.

the other recipe that I have uses:
Cake mix
1 package instant pudding
4 eggs
1 Cup sour cream
1/2 Cup vegetable oil
1/2 Cup water
1 Cup chocolate chips
Follow the same instructions for the other cake.  Again the chocoalte chips could be eliminated or use white chips if you want an all white cake.

I've made lots of cake mixes and added a box of pudding but I've never used sour cream.
Nikki - yours sounds very good!~

Wow!!  I was so glad to read your comment about books, Nikki.  I thought I was the ONLY one who would not give up my books in favor of a Kindle and whateverelse is out there!  Most of my friends have those "thingies" and they are always after me to "get with it"; but I need to have that book in my hands!!  I read everything....newspaper, magazines, trivia, etc.  I keep track of the books I have read on my computer.  I just logged in number 451.....and there are five on the shelf that I need to read in order to get them back to the Library.

People in my church are using Kindles for reading the Bible!  Oh, it seems very "handy" .... think how fast you could find something like Obadiah 1:3. or Titus 3:5, but not me --- I'm not ready for that yet.

Nikki,  I would not give up my over 300 cookbooks for anything. I love
them.  I also read the San Diego Union Tribune everyday and we get
the LA Times Thurs.-Sunday.  I do read the Grand Rapids Press and
the Holland Sentinel on line everyday! I don't have much time to read
books anymore.

As a former school librarian, I always vote for keeping REAL books, magazines and newspapers. There's something special about cuddling up with a good read, that you can't do with a Kindle!
